Ranjitha (born Sri Valli) is an Indian film and television actress. She has acted in a number of Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films.

Her first film was a Telugu film titled Kadapa Reddemma. She made her Tamil film debut in the 1992 Bharathiraja film Nadodi Thendral. 

She played lead roles in Tamil films till 1999. She briefly retired from acting after her wedding. 

Since her comeback in 2001, she has been acting in supporting roles in films and lead roles in television shows. 

She married army major Rakesh Menon.

She also met in a controversy after alleged link with Swamy Nithyananda.

Kishore Kumar (born 14 August 1974), credited as Kishore, is an Indian film actor, born in Karnataka. Known for playing characters that fit the bill of the anti-hero — be it a cop, politician, or character role, Kishore made a space for himself in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema.


Kishore was a student of National College, Basavanagudi where he started off with theatre doing plays like Teregalu and Samrata Ashoka. He then did his masters in Kannada literature from Bangalore University. He took up teaching in a college in Bangalore where he worked for two years and then as a part-time fashion designer worked under fashion designer Vidyasagar, a professor from Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT).


Kishore made his film debut in the 2004 Kannada film Kanti. He got a role in the film after having been identified initially to design costumes for the film and eventually went on to win a State award for his role in it. For his role in the film Raakshasa, he won the Karnataka State Award for Best Supporting Actor. After he appeared in a couple of other Kannada films, he was approached by director Vetrimaaran to work in Desiya Nedunchalai, as he was looking for an actor who could speak Tamil with a Kannada accent. The film was dropped, but he got a chance to act in Polladhavan. Kishore, particularly won praise for his portrayal of forest brigand Veerappan in the 2013 film Attahasa. In the same year, he appeared in a low-budget film Jatta in which played the role of a forest guard. The film was a commercial and critical success and won Kishore praise from critics.

Suman Ranganathan (Kannada: ಸುಮನ್ ರಂಗನಾಥನ್; born 26 July 1974) is an Indian model and actress who has starred in Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films.

Suman Ranganath was born to Kannadiga parents in Bangalore, Karnataka on 26 July 1974.Ranganath debut was in the Kannada film Santha Shishunala Sharifa, in which she played the wife of Shareefa played by Sridhar.

She then appeared in director Shankar Nag's film C.B.I. Shankar. She appeared in Fareb (1996), her first Bollywood film, which was an Indian adaptation of Unlawful Entry (1992).

She appeared as an Indian-American socialite in Aa Ab Laut Chalen (1999). In 2003 she appeared in Baghban. Ranganath was also in a team of judges for the Mr India World 2007.

Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is a South Indian film actress and a classical dancer, qualified in Bharatanatyam.  She has acted in several Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada films. Her debut Malayalam film Arayannangalude Veedu alongside Mammootty won her the Kerala State Film Award for the best supporting actress. She was a judge on Asianet’s dance show Vodafone Thakadhimi.

In 2007, Laxmi again received the Kerala State Film Award for the second best actress for her performances in Thaniye directed by debutant film director Babu Thiruvalla and Paradesi directed by P. T. Kunju Mohammed. For the same films, she also received the "Atlas Film Critics Award" for the best woman actor.

Lakshmi's most recent release has been the Kannada blockbuster Aptharakshaka. Her splendid performance in the film as a dancer possessed by an evil spirit has been praised by critics and the film going public as well.

She acted in the Tamil serial titled Lakshmi and has won much praise.

The acceptance in Malayalam cinema that Lakshmi has received from the audience has made her feel much obliged to Malayalam filmgoers. Her success has also got her offers from her home ground, Kannada film industry, too. Her debut Malayalam film Arayannangalude Veedu got her the Kerala State Award for the best supporting actress. Her second film Kochu Kochu Santhosangal too brought in much acclaim for her acting. Acting afforded her a different kind of exposure. "Initially I was intimidated by the profession, I was too shy to be famous," but soon felt at home.

She is very conscious about the message she conveys through her roles. "I feel a strong social responsibility as an actress. Working on Arayanangalude Veedu with Mammootty "was a treasured experience. He has such reverence for the profession. So also the character artistes." Cast opposite many a Malayalam screen icon, she has catapulted to fame in 'God's Own Country'.
She says dance will always remain her fave metier; she loves essaying good roles in films, like those that integrates semi-classical dance tracks, like Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal, in which two classical dance numbers became catchy tunes all over Kerala. Her star status in film firmament notwithstanding, she dreams of metamorphosing into a top-notch dancer.

Incidentally, her mother, Dr. Uma Gopalaswamy, a PhD holder in Carnatic music, lends her voice for her dance shows.

Kuyili is an Indian film actress who appeared in South Indian films. She made her debut in Poovilangu released in 1984. She also acted in some of the TV serials.

Tara (born March 4, 1967 as Anuradha) is a south Indian film actress who primarily works in Kannada films. She is also a politician with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

On March 15, 2012, Tara was elected as a chief president for the "Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy" (KCA) making her the first ever actor to hold the position.  Tara has featured in over 500 commercial and Parallel Cinema.

Known for her strong author backed roles, Tara has won the Best Actress award in the 2005 National Film Awards for her role in the film Hasina (film), which also received the Best Film on Family Welfare award.  It was her first major recognition in a film career spanning over two decades long.  Besides Kannada, she has acted in few Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films as well.

Tara made her first appearance on screen for a Tamil film Ingeyum Oru Gangai directed by noted actor, Manivannan, in 1984 which also featured Murali in the lead. Followed by this, she featured in her first Kannada film Thulasidala in 1985. However, she got a big break of her career through a Rajkumar starrer Guri in 1986 and thereafter she has acted in several movies as a leading lady and mainly as supporting actress. Her performance in Girish Karnad's Kanooru Heggadithi, which brought her wide spread recognition. She received her first ever award as best actress for the Kannada movie Krama(1991),directed by debutant director Asrar Abid. In the late 1980s, she featured in Mani Ratnam's two of the biggest blockbuster Tamil films, Nayagan and Agni Natchathiram as a supporting actress.

Tara paired with almost all of the leading male co-stars in the 80's and 90's including Dr. Rajkumar, Shankar Nag, Vishnuvardhan, Ambarish, Ananth Nag, Shashikumar, Tiger Prabhakar, Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Murali, Karthik, Sunil, Devaraj among others.

In 2005, she was cast by Girish Kasaravalli in his film Hasina, for which she won a National Award from Indian Government. Subsequently, her role in Kannada movie 'Deadly Soma' was appreciated. Then came her another breakthrough performance in the movie Cyanide the inside story.  In 2007, Tara received her second Best Actress award.  Beside acting, she produced Hasina, directed by Girish Kasaravalli and she has also announced an intent to direct films as well.

Tara married cinematographer H.C. Venu in 2005. She delivered a baby boy on 1 February 2013 through the help of IVF.

Arjun Sarja (born Sreenivasa Sarja Ashok Babu Sakthi Prasad Arjun on 15 August 1964) is an Indian film actor, director and Producer. Son of Kannada film star Shakti Prasad, he has primarily acted in Tamil films, and also appeared in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films. Arjun was born in Karnataka. Arjun's initial desire was to become a police officer. He went to police training and was selected but later opted to become a film star. He has acted in over 200 films in five different languages. His wife Niveditha( Asha Rani) is also an actress who has acted in a Kannada movie called Rathasapthami with Shivaraj Kumar. Arjun has two daughters, Aishwarya and Anjana. His nephew (elder brother's son) Chiranjeevi Sarja acts in Kannada movies.
The title "Action King" has been given to Arjun by fans, for the numerous action roles he has portrayed. He is also a black belt holder in karate. He has done many movies in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu 

Arjun started as actor in Kannada film Putaani Agent 1-2-3 with director Rajender Singh Babu. He then moved to Tamil and Telugu films. His first Tamil film was Nandri in 1984 with actors Karthik and Nalini. His movies in Tamil include Gentleman, Jai Hind, Kurudhipunal, Mudhalvan, Rhythm, Ezhumalai, Giri, Marudhamalai and Mankatha. In Telugu, he is known for his role in the 1985 movie Maa Pallelo Gopaludu. Arjun has also directed and produced some films. Arjun won a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor for Gentleman.

Babu Antony is an Indian film actor. Working primarily in Malayalam cinema, Babu has also acted in other Indian languages films such as Tamil, Telugu and Hindi..

He made his debut in Bharathan's Chilampu (1986). He started his career doing antagonist roles but has also played the lead role in few films. He made a mark in Malayalam cinema through Fazil's 1986 thriller Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal. The film was remade into Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada and Babu Antony reprised his role in all the four versions. His career highlights include Vaishali (1988), Aparhnnam (1991), and Uppukandam Brothers (1993). According to reports, Babu is all set for his directorial debut in "Piano.

He is born to T.J. Antony and Mariyam Antony, as fifth son of seven children, in Ponkunnam, Kottayam, Kerala, India. He has six siblings Leela, Joseph, Philip, Marykutti, Saly, Mini. He had his primary education from Sacred Heart High School, Ponkunnam, Government Boys High School and St Dominic's High School Kanjirappally. He graduated in English Literature from Pune. He did Masters in Business Administration in Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He worked as a cinematographer in Film and Television Institute of India, Pune which opened him a way to film industry.[2] He is married to Evgeniya Antony.The couple have two sons, Arthur Antony and Alex Babu Antony. 8 and 4 years old.

Babu Antony, a Fifth Dan Black Belt in martial arts, is the only martial arts expert hero in Malayalam cinema to reach stardom by excelling in racy fight scenes. He taught martial arts to Papal pontifical college Pune many years. The six-foot 3-inch actor also known as Bob Antony in Hindi films made his debut by playing a negative role in renowned late director Bharathan’s Malayalam film Chilambu. His monopoly in quick punches, fast kicks and fluid movements in action scenes has merited him roles. He has acted more than 160 films in different languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English and Sinhalese. His heroic performance as an angry young man built a huge fan following among the audience especially youngsters in movies like Bharanakoodam, Gandhari, Chantha, Dada, Kadal, Kambolam etc. His portrayal of negative characters with shoulder level hair and beard redefined the entire concept of a villain. After staging a comeback of sorts through director B Unnikrishnan's Mohanlal-starrer Grandmaster, actor Babu Antony is all set to debut into direction.


Titled Piano, the film is a love story, with due importance to action and music as well. "Dennis Joseph is working on the script. Issac Thomas Kottukapally is in charge of the music department. We are bringing in a British actress to star in the flick. The rest of the cast is being finalised," says Babu, who will also star in his directorial debut.

Ramesh Aravind first started acting in the television program Parichaya in Kannada. 

His first film role was in Sundara Swapnagalu directed by K. Balachander in Kannada. Ramesh Aravind acquired many film roles in the Tamil film industry. 

His directorial debut in Kannada came with Rama Shama Bhama. Ramesh Aravind continued with other Tamil films before moving onto Telugu films.  After his stint in Tamil cinema, he came back to Kannada films in 90s with series of hits.  In the year 1997-98 was indeed a high point in his career. Ramesh’s films set a record of sorts.

He had six super-hit movies to his credit.  He was now firmly established as an actor to reckon with in the Kannada film industry. 

In Telugu, he did movies like Little Soldiers, Rudraveena, Sathi leelavathi, etc. In Tamil he made successful films like Keladi Kanmani, Duet and many others. With his brilliant performance in films like Anuraga Sangama, Ulta Palta, Tutta Mutta, Chandramukhi Pranasakhi, Gombe, Nammoora Mandara Hoove, America America, Hoomale, Deepavali and Sneha Loka he has been the favourite of Kannada moviegoers. He had nine 100 days films in a row, which is a record.

He is indeed one of the most natural actors on screen breathing life into any character he plays. This friendly actor has also written the story and screenplay for the film Hoomale, which got the National award for best Kannada film of that year. 

Films like America America (1995 film) Ulta Palta, Amrutha Varshini showcased the range of his acting abilities; he was at ease in both intense and comic roles. He scripted the national award winning film Hoomale, and thus paved the way for his foray into the field of direction.

Murali (19 May 1964 – 8 September 2010) was an Indian film actor who appeared in leading and supporting roles in Tamil and Kannada films. Murali has acted with many stars including Vijayakanth, Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Karthik, Prabhu Deva, Surya, Parthiban, Sarath Kumar, Mammootty and Sivaji Ganesan. In the 1990s, He has also acted with famous heroines including Meena, Simran, Roja, Devayani, Laila and Rambha.
His son, Adharvaa, debuted as an actor in the 2010 Tamil film Baana Kaathadi.

Murali was the son of Kannada director Siddalingaiah and started acting in Kannada films in 1984.

Murali started his acting career in 1984 with the Kannada film Prema Parva,directed by his father director S. Siddalingaiah. Ajeya, Prema Gange, Thayikotta Thali, Sambhavami Yuge Yuge, Ajay-Vijay are the Kannada movies he did before entering into Tamil film industry. Poovilangu was his first Tamil movie. He earned a good name with that film. He then acted in Pagal Nilavu, along with actress Revathi. The movie introduced the director Mani Ratnam to the Tamil film industry. Though this movie garnered Murali great recognition he could not sustain his success much longer.

His movies started failing at the Box Office one after another.Interestingly,the angry young man image that Murali portrayed in his first few films disappeared after Pagal Nilavu and he appeared more as a soft natured, turning violent only when required, in his subsequent films. He did a lot of romantic drama roles and was remarkably subtle -something distinctly different from his first film - Poovilangu or even Pagal Nilavu. 

Many of these movies were small and moderate successes and he continued as hero in a number of films every year. Then came 'Idhayam - the movie where he portrayed the soft romantic hero pining and longing to reveal his love to his lady. This character appeared perfectly consistent with his image and many remember him as hero of this movie (the movie had hit songs which remind many of Murali) much more than the angry young man of Poovilangu.

In 1990, he starred in Vikraman's Pudhu Vasantham along with Sithara and Anand Babu. where he played one among four friends who find themselves unexpectedly saddled with a young woman. The movie was such a big hit that it re-wrote Tamil movie history, sparking a whole range of "friendship" films and also propelling his career.

He died in the early hours of 8 September 2010 from a sudden massive heart attack in Chennai.He was survived by his wife Shobha, daughter Kaavya and sons Adharvaa and Akash.
