Rajendran is an Indian film stunt double and film actor in Tamil cinema. He has worked as a stunt double for over 500 South Indian films and began acting in Pithamagan (2003). He played the role of a villain in Naan Kadavul (2009) and he continued to play villainous supporting characters in a number of Tamil films. Following his villainic comedy role in Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010), he says he was typecasted in similar roles.

He had his primary education from Sacred Heart High School, Ponkunnam, Government Boys High School and St Dominic's High School Kanjirappally. He graduated in English Literature from Pune. He did Masters in Business Administration in Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He worked as a cinematographer in Film and Television Institute of India, Pune which opened him a way to film industry.[2] He is married to Evgeniya Antony.The couple have two sons, Arthur Antony and Alex Babu Antony. 8 and 4 years old.

Babu Antony, a Fifth Dan Black Belt in martial arts, is the only martial arts expert hero in Malayalam cinema to reach stardom by excelling in racy fight scenes. He taught martial arts to Papal pontifical college Pune many years. The six-foot 3-inch actor also known as Bob Antony in Hindi films made his debut by playing a negative role in renowned late director Bharathan’s Malayalam film Chilambu. His monopoly in quick punches, fast kicks and fluid movements in action scenes has merited him roles. He has acted more than 160 films in different languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English and Sinhalese. His heroic performance as an angry young man built a huge fan following among the audience especially youngsters in movies like Bharanakoodam, Gandhari, Chantha, Dada, Kadal, Kambolam etc. His portrayal of negative characters with shoulder level hair and beard redefined the entire concept of a villain. Babu Antony shone in action roles as a hero and villain, at the same time proved his mettle as an actor by performing a king’s role in Vaishali, an ex-terrorist role in Aparahnam and an impecunious in Sayaahnam. Few of his films were featured in national and international festivals and won recognitions. His last Tamil/Telugu super hits were Vinnai thaandi Varuvaya and Kanchana. Currently he is doing a few Tamil and Malyalam films with well-acclaimed directors like Vetrimaaran and Vasantha Balan.


After staging a comeback of sorts through director B Unnikrishnan's Mohanlal-starrer Grandmaster, actor Babu Antony is all set to debut into direction.


Titled Piano, the film is a love story, with due importance to action and music as well. "Dennis Joseph is working on the script. Issac Thomas Kottukapally is in charge of the music department. We are bringing in a British actress to star in the flick. The rest of the cast is being finalised," says Babu, who will also star in his directorial debut.

Recently she was seen with Sachin Khedekar in the movie 'Aajcha Diwas Majha', a film by Chandrakant Kulkarni.

While in US, Ashwini Bhave was friends with Madhuri Dixit.

The film receive positive reviews and became a box office success. The success of film led Maharajan to direct Narasimha which he later opted out.



Maharajan later remade Vallarasu in Hindi with Sunny Deol. His next directorial was Anjaneya. The leading female role was eventually handed to Meera Jasmine even though Reemma Sen was also approached earlier for the film. The film feature Ajith Kumar in his first role as a police officer, before further appearances in Kireedam, Aegan and Mankatha.The film was shot within 47 days, with Ajith reportedly working extra time to complete scenes. Producers downplayed any publicity for the film, releasing the audio with little fanfare and not releasing a teaser trailer. The film received mixed reviews with the critic from The Hindu claiming that "the lack of consistency in the treatment affects the film no end", criticizing Maharajan's direction.



Meanwhile, Maharajan announced his next project Arasatchi with Arjun playing the lead role. Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta made her acting debut in Tamil with this film.[9] The film boasts of 14 villains played by Raghuvaran, Karan, Anandraj, Nasser, Nambiar, Ponnambalam, Delhi Ganesh, Mansur Alikhan, Devan, Rajan P Dev and Manivannan among others. Uma, Abitha, Vindhya and P Vasu play crucial roles in the film.


The filming was held at Le Royal Meridian Hotel, Chennai and the songs were picturised at locations in London, New Zealand and Canada.


The movie was completed in 2003 but got delayed due to financial problems and finally released in 2004, in between production delays Maharajan finished Anjaneya with Ajith.


Before release, poster featuring tagline "When Justice Fails" created controversy which caused a lawyer to file a case citing that the film would portray lawyers in bad light. After one week, case was finally won.

He acted with Vadivelu in almost 40 films. Bava is not yet married, but he is interested in searching a good life partner. His brother has also acted in movies and he is also running an orchestra called Vellai Roja. Bava Lakshmanan is currently acting in Kaathiruppor Pattiyal. He expects the film to give a good twist in his career.
