Kalaignarin Ilaignan (Tamil: இளைஞன், English: Youth) is a 2011 Tamil-language period vigilante film directed by Suresh Krishna, who directs his 50th film, and written by DMK Chief and the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, its 75th film and based on the Russian novel, The Mother, by Maxim Gorky.
Karky (Pa. Vijay) is the son of Arokkyasami (Nassar) who wants to win freedom of his people from the shipbuilding owner Rajanayagam (Suman) and his evil wife Sena (Namitha). Meera Jasmine is sister of villain Suman.
She is very kind hearted women who helps PA Vijay (Karky). With the help of her our hero starts a war against the owner of ship who is true dictator. But Suman (Rajanayagam) is not only cruel and stone hearted guy but also very cunning and big fraud.
He along with his wife plays a cunning game and cheats hero. Hero's mother who is initially reluctant to wage war against evil openly as she is afraid of bloodshed. She wanted all worker to live and not die. As Rajanayagam (Villain) crosses all the level of cruelty.
There is no ways situation can be handled peacfully so Valliammai ask karky to open full-fledged war against evil. Then the final war starts between good and evil in which good wins over evil.
