Arjun Sarja (born Sreenivasa Sarja Ashok Babu Sakthi Prasad Arjun on 15 August 1964) is an Indian film actor, director and Producer. Son of Kannada film star Shakti Prasad, he has primarily acted in Tamil films, and also appeared in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films. Arjun was born in Karnataka. Arjun's initial desire was to become a police officer. He went to police training and was selected but later opted to become a film star. He has acted in over 200 films in five different languages. His wife Niveditha( Asha Rani) is also an actress who has acted in a Kannada movie called Rathasapthami with Shivaraj Kumar. Arjun has two daughters, Aishwarya and Anjana. His nephew (elder brother's son) Chiranjeevi Sarja acts in Kannada movies.
The title "Action King" has been given to Arjun by fans, for the numerous action roles he has portrayed. He is also a black belt holder in karate. He has done many movies in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu 

Arjun started as actor in Kannada film Putaani Agent 1-2-3 with director Rajender Singh Babu. He then moved to Tamil and Telugu films. His first Tamil film was Nandri in 1984 with actors Karthik and Nalini. His movies in Tamil include Gentleman, Jai Hind, Kurudhipunal, Mudhalvan, Rhythm, Ezhumalai, Giri, Marudhamalai and Mankatha. In Telugu, he is known for his role in the 1985 movie Maa Pallelo Gopaludu. Arjun has also directed and produced some films. Arjun won a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor for Gentleman.
As Director he directed Sevagan , Prathap, Jai Hind, Thayin Manikodi, Suyamvaram, Vedham , Ezhumalai, Parasuram, Madrasi. And he produced Tutta Mutta, Thavam, Vayuputra.

Shaji Kailas is a Malayalam film director. He is known for his hard-hitting action films.

Shaji Kailas's debut as a director was in 1989 with News, starring Suresh Gopi in the lead role. Scripted by Jagadish, this investigative thriller was an average grosser. But, with this film, Shaji succeeded in gaining attention of film viewers. But his second release Sunday 7 PM, came out in 1990 was a big flop. Later in the same year, he directed Dr. Pasupathy, a political satire, with Innocent in a leading role. Dr. Pashupathi, written by Renji Panicker, ended up as one of the biggest grosser of the year. This film also marked the beginning of Shaji Kailas- Renji Panicker combo, which later went into making of several super hits. But, the success of Dr. Pashupathy was followed by two huge flops Souhrudam, starring Mukesh and Saikumar in the leading roles and Kilukkampetti, with Jayaram as hero. Shaji Kailas then switched to action films.

Suhasini Mani Ratnam, commonly known as Suhasini, is an award winning south Indian actress. She made her film debut in 1980 with the Tamil movie Nenjathai Killathe. Suhasini was born in Chennai, the daughter of actor of Charu Hasan - the elder brother of Kamal Hassan. In 1988, she married Mani Ratnam. The couple have a 15-year old son. Suhasini is a trained costumer designer, hair stylist and Cinematographer , the first girl student to graduate from the Madras Film institute.

In 1996, Suhasini stepped into direction, helming her first film Indira. She also wrote the screenplay for the film. The project was produced by G.V films . She and husband Mani Ratnam, are both involved in the running of their production company Madras Talkies, along with G. Srinivasan.

She won the coveted National Film Award for Best Actress in 1986 for her role in the 1985 Tamil film Sindhu Bhairavi, directed by K. Balachander.She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada as well as Malayalam films. She was introduced to Malayalam cinema through Padmarajans Koodevide 1983, which also featured Mammootty. Her role in the AFI Fest nominated feature Vaanaprastham (1999), which starred Mohanlal was particularly well received.

She is also a very talented make-up artist and hair stylist. Suhasini has helped her co-stars who were equally popular like Radhika, Radha, Vijayashanthi, Sumalatha and Ambika on thier make up and hair. She even volunteered to do Radhikas hair for the movie, Keladi Kanmani, a sort of come-back movie for Radhika. She was very instrumental in getting Radhika back to Cinema after the later succumbed to some personal problems.

Bharathi Vishnuvardhan is an Indian actress who has performed in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu language films. She was most seen as a leading actress in the Kannada film industry during the late 1960s to 1980s. Besides these languages, she also featured in Marathi films.

Bharathi was born in a Marathi-speaking family in Karnataka. She was married to the legendary actor of Kannada cinema Vishnuvardhan on 27 February 1975 in Bengaluru. They have two children namely Keerthi and Chandana. Her husband Dr. Vishnuvardhan died on 30 December 2009.

Dr. Bharathi debuted as a second lead actress in the 1964 released film Geet Gaya Patharon Ne. Her first Kannada film was the 1966 romantic comedy Love in Bangalore. She was critically acclaimed for her roles in movies like Runa Muktalu, Bangaaradha Manushya, Doorada Betta, Gandondu Hennaru, Bangaarada Jinke, Avalukendru Oru Manam, Bhagya Jyoti and the Kannada Doordarshan serial Janani.

In 2012, she appeared as a strict, no-nonsense sessions court judge in TN Seetharam's Kannada daily serial Mukta-Mukta.

Bharathi has acted in a number of Hindi films as well, like director T. Prakash Rao's Suraj (1966, starring Vyjayanthimala) and Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani (1970, starring Balraj Sahni), Manoj Kumar's Purab Aur Paschim (1970), Prabhat Khanna's Uttar Dakshin (1987), Izzatdaar (1990, starring Dilip Kumar), Mehmood's Kunwaara Baap (1974), Aao Pyaar Karen (1994, with Saif Ali Khan and Shilpa Shetty), and many more.

Bharathi has acted in various Malayalam films with all leading actors. Though she has not acted mostly as a Heroine, but she is best known for her character roles especially Mother roles with Superstar Mohanlal,most of her films were hits.

In Tamil, she acted as the leading heroine to all three doyens of Tamil film industry in those days: Sivaji Ganesan, M.G. Ramachandran, Gemini Ganesan and R. Muthuraman.

In Telugu cinema field, she has acted in Jai Jawan 1970 and Govula Gopanna 1968, Sipayi Chinnayya and Bangaru Gajulu ( all with Akkineni Nageswara Rao) which were hits.

Rakhee, a showbiz star is probably the only Indian actress who never took a break from the cinema. She has played every kind of roles, a spoilt brat to a loving mother , from a caring girlfriend to a dutiful daughter in law, all with ideal elegance. Rakhee, a national film award winner has also been honored with the coveted Padma Shri Award by the Government of India. Rakhee was born as Rakhee Mazumdar on the auspicious day of 15th August 1947 in Ranaghat the place in West Bengal. She was born just after the declaration of independence of India. Rakhee did her early schooling from a local girl's high school. Her father had a successful shoe business in East Pakistan, i.e Bangladesh. When Rakhee was a teenager she had an arranged marriage with Bengali film director Ajay Biswas which ended shortly. Rakhee for the second time got married to famous lyricist Gulzar. The couple has a daughter, director Meghna Gulzar who has directed films like 'Just Married', 'Filhaal' and 'Dus Kahaniyaan'. Rakhee and Gulzaar separated when Meghna was just one year old. She grew up with her father.
Rakhee made her screen debut with a Bengali film 'Badhu Baran' in 1967. She was just 20 years old then. She won rave reviews for her performance in this film. After that, she bagged the lead role in her debut Hindi film 'Jeevan Mrityu' by Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. opposite Dharmendra. The film was a huge hit and the song 'Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga' became dear to the audience's hearts.

Her 1971 film 'Sharmeelee' again gave her fame in which she essayed a double role opposite Shashi Kapoor. She was next seen in 'Lal Patthar' and 'Paras' where were hits as well. She was a part of several blockbusters like 'Daag' ,'Heera Panna' ,'Shehzada' ,'Hamare Tumhare' ,'Taaqat' ,'Aanchal' etc. She established herself as a major Hindi film actress by acting with the best co-stars and top directors in 70s and 80s decade. Rakhee credits her performances from films 'Blackmail' and 'Tapasya' as her best performances. She shared good chemistry with Dev Anand, Barjatyas and Yash Chopra. With Dev Anand, she was seen in hit films like 'Banarasi Babu' ,'Joshila' and 'Lootmaar'.

Shashi Kapoor and Rakhee's chemistry was hit on screen in that era. The duo gave several hits like 'Sharmeelee' ,'Kabhi Kabhi' ,'Trishna' ,'Janwar Aur Insaan' ,'Pighalta Aasman' ,'Baseraa' ,'Zameen Aasman' ,'Doosra Aadmi' etc. With Amitabh Bachchan the talented actress delivered several successful films like 'Kasme Vaade' ,'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' ,'Trishul','Jurmana', 'Kaala Patthar' ,'Bemisal' and 'Barsaat Ki Ek Raat'.

Rakhee was featured in a Bengali film 'Paroma' which gave her BFJA Award for the Best actress. Her last film as a lead was 'Pighalta Aasman' with Shashi Kapoor. She did not hesitate to play supporting roles either. She played Rajesh Khanna's sister in law in 'Aanchal' , Amitabh Bachchan's mother in 'Shakti' and Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan sister in law in 'Shaan'. She also played Amitabh Bachchan's dead mother in 'Laawaris'.

During late 80s and 90s she played the strong character roles as woman of principles or an elderly woman or a bitter widow in the films like 'Ram Lakhan' ,'Anari' ,'Saaheb' ,'Baazigar' ,'Karan Arjun' ,'Khalnayak' ,'Soldier' ,'Border' and 'Ek Rishtaa' etc. The last film in which she essayed a major role was 'Shubho Mahurat' in 2003. For this, she won the National Film Award for the Best Supporting actress. After this film she has retired from the film industry.

Throughout her career, Rakhee has won 8 major awards. In 1973, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Daag'. She also received the BFJA Award for the same. She has won the National Film Award for '27 Down' in 1974. She bagged Filmfare Award for Best Actress for 'Tapasya' in 1976, Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Ram Lakhan' in 1989 and Padma Shri Award in 2003. Besides this , she was nominated for the best actress and best supporting actress for 13 times in her career.
