The artist has been born and brought up in England. She was a student of London School of Economics. Sophie graduated in French and European politics. She was born on 8 February, 1981.

London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art conferred her gold medal. She even studied at a prestigious political institute in Paris called as \'Sciences Po\' for around two years. Eventually, the band got separated and she began with her solo singing in videos like \'Le Le Mera Dil\' and \'Habibi\'.

In the year 2002, Sophie shifted to Mumbai and became MTV India\'s VJ. She started anchoring the famous show \'MTV Loveline\' and accomplished much popularity from it. \'Sophie & Dr. Love\' was her first remix album. The album topped UK Asian Pop charts for almost twelve weeks and broke the records. Eminent personalities like Salma Agha, Runa Laila and Nazia Hassan sang in that album. The year 2009 saw the launch of her album \'Sound of Sophie\'. This album was devoid of any remixes and included only original tracks. The Indian brand of fashion, \'Madame\' sponsored the album. Sophie turned the brand ambassador for the same brand. In this album, Sophie worked with famous music composers, such as Rishi Rich, Biddu, Bappi Lahiri and Gaurav Gupta.
