Storyline

Vanna Thamizh Paatu (English: Colourful Tamil song) is a 2000 Tamil romantic drama film directed by P. Vasu. The film features Prabhu, débutantes Vaijayanthi and Manichandhana in lead roles. The film, produced by M. Krishnaswamy, had musical score by S. A. Rajkumar and was released on 17 November 2000.The film received mixed reviews.

Bhuvana (Vaijayanthi) is back to her village after dropping out. Her father Muthumanikkam (Radha Ravi), the village's Zamindar, is amazed when he listened the song of Bhoopathy (Prabhu) and he hires Bhoopathy as a servant and singer in his house.

Muthumanikkam and, his brother-in-law, Rasappan (Anandaraj), are against love marriages. Devi (Manichandhana), Rasappan's daughter, falls in love with Bhoopathy. Soon, Bhuvana's mother finds out about the marriage of Bhoopathy and her daughter Bhuvana.

In the past, Bhoopathy and Bhuvana fall in love with each other. Bhoopathy is the son of the Zamindar Ratnavel Raja (Prabhu). Secretly, Bhoopathy got married with Bhuvana. Ratnavel Raja ordered them to first sought the blessings of Muthumanikkam and then he will bless them.

The rest of the story is what happen to Bhoopathy, Bhuvana and Devi.
