Nayaki in Telugu and Nayagi in Tamil was launched in AVM Studios on August 20, 2015 and the first look posters were revealed to the social medias.
The movie will be shot simultaneously in both Tamil and Telugu languages. The setting of the film will be in the era of 1980s. Trisha plays the title role in this flick and delivered her different shade.
The pre-production of the work begun with the crew finalising the casts for the film. The first schedule of the filming has started with the main cast on board.
The schedule was shot extensively in Chennai. The first schedule was completed by the first week of September 2015.
