Kanavu Variyam (English: Dream Factory) is an upcoming Indian Tamil film directed by Arun Chidambaram and produced by DCKAP cinemas.The movie has got the backing from Warner Bros. Pictures, who will be distributing their first ever South Indian Movie in India.
The movie revolves around power cuts and electricity deficit in the villages of Tamil Nadu, India. The film features primarily a new cast with Arun Chidambaram and Jiya playing the lead roles and will have music scored by Shyam Benjamin.
The film has won the Platinum Remi for Best Independent Theatrical Feature Film (Drama) and the same was awarded at the 49th WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. The film has won the Special Jury Award at National Science Film Festival and Competition in India.
The film has been completely shot in the villages of Tamil Nadu.
