Sangeetha Arvind Krish (born 21 October 1978) is an Indian film actress, model and female playback singer. Making her acting debut in the mid-90s, she is probably best known for her performances in the films Khadgam, Pithamagan, Uyir and Dhanam.

Sangeetha was born in Chennai, India to Arvind and Bhanumathy. Her grandfather, K. R. Balan, is a prominent film producer, who had produced more than 20 Tamil films. She is a judge on Vijay TV's hit show Jodi No.1. She was one of the three judges along with Silambarasan and Sundaram in Jodi No.1 Season Two and with S.J.Suryaah and Sundaram in Jodi No.1 and with Jeeva and Aishwarya Dhanush in Jodi No.1 Season Three. She was a guest judge during the finals of Vasantham Central's Indian dance competition "Dhool" held in Singapore on 2008.

She got married to film playback singer Krish on 1 February 2009 at the Arunachaleshwarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai., which was attended by several noted film personalities. In 2012, their first daughter was born.

In 2003, she starred in Dhool with Vikram, Kaakha Kaakha with Suriya and Thirumalai with Vijay, all of which did good business, Kaakha Kaakha in particular being one of the biggest hits of her career. In 2004, she acted in a double role in the critically acclaimed Perazhagan opposite Suriya. In 2005, she acted in Manmadhan opposite Silambarasan.

Her most successful film till date is the Rajinikanth starrer Chandramukhi 2005 in which she essayed the title role. She also received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for Perazhagan in 2004 and Chandramukhi in 2005.

Her last films were Gautham Menon's Pachaikili Muthucharam and the critically acclaimed Mozhi, both in 2007. Her performance in Mozhi took her very close to winning the National Film Award for Best Actress. However, she lost the award by a narrow margin at the end. Her roles in these two films, as a negative character in the former (which she played for the first time) and as a deaf and mute in the latter earned her widespread appreciation.

Jyothika entered the Telugu film industry with Tagore, starring Chiranjeevi. Her next Telugu film was Mass (2004) written and directed by Raghava Lawrence. The film was dubbed into Tamil as Veeran and Hindi as Meri Jung — One Man Army. Most of her Tamil films were dubbed into Telugu.

Jyothika made a come back through Television ads. She appeared with Suriya for endorsing brands like Aircel and Nescafé. In 2008, she appeared in a short film Herova? Zerova?. The film was written and produced by her father–in–law Sivakumar and also starred Vijay, R. Madhavan and Suriya. Senthil Kumar (born 18 October 1978), popularly known as Mirchi Senthil  is an Indian film and television actor, television presenter, radio jockey and voice actor. He began his career as a radio jockey  with the radio station Radio Mirchi. He performed in the lead character Saravanan in STAR Vijay's sensational serial Saravannan Meenatchi. Senthil played the lead character in the successful television serial named Madurai  in STAR Vijay telecasted from 2007 to 2009. Following the success of this serial, Senthil has played the lead character by the name Saravanan again in another sensational serial Saravannan Meenatchi in STAR Vijay. Senthil rose to fame following his performances in these two serials and is very popular by his character name Saravanan.
Senthil has performed in a micro-serial 777 for Polimer TV which was directed by the movie director Manobala.
Apart from the serials, Senthil has hosted a number of shows for STAR Vijay. He has hosted a weekly movie review show Tamil Cinema Indha Vaaram in which he discusses about the movies along with the cast and crew of the movie. Senthil has conducted a game show for women by name Boxing for Polimer TV.

Film

Senthil made his Tamil film debut in the 2005 film Thavamai Thavamirundhu in which he played the elder brother of director Cheran. He was nominated for Filmfare awards for the best supporting actor category. He bagged his first lead role in Sengathu Bhoomiyilae which had the music score by Ilaiyaraaja. This is followed by Kan Pesum Vaarthaigal (2013) with Iniya as the female lead and Movie Pappali . His upcoming film is Vennila Veedu along with Vijayalakshmi as the female lead.

Career

Born in Chandigarh, UT to an army officer, Flora began her schooling in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir and continued her education in The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan Delhi. She was the favorite student of Accounts teacher Lala.  Her family moved to Kolkata then, where she started pursuing a modeling career. She participated at the Miss Kolkata beauty pageant contest.  Flora made her acting debut in the 1999 Telugu film Prema Kosam in which she enacted the lead female role.  The film producer of her first film rechristened her as Asha Saini, while years later she would adopt a new screen name, Mayuri, as per an astrologer’s advice, before eventually reverting to her original name.

Flora subsequently played supporting roles in more than a dozen Telugu films in the next three years, with her appearance in the film Narasimha Naidu (2002), which went on to become highly successful, being the most notable, which led to her being referred to as "Lux Papa" thereafter.  In 2002, she debuted in Hindi, starring in the T. P. Aggarwal-produced Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.  Her second Hindi film Love in Nepal (2004) saw her pairing with popular playback singer Sonu Nigam, which too was produced by T. P. In March 2008, she was arrested in Chennai for supposedly having forged visa documents, and was subsequently banned from the Tamil film industry.  She claimed innocence, and the ban was lifted a couple of weeks later.

Flora had three of her films, Broker (Telugu), Vismaya Pramaya and Vah Re Vah (both Kannada) releasing on 31 December 2010, a rare occurrence that secured her an entry in the Limca Book of Records for the most number of film releases on one day.  In 2010, Flora Saini was honoured with the Uttarakhand Ratan Award.  She has also received The Great Daughter of Soil Award in Mauritius for her work towards the poor and helpless.

She has since appeared in television for serials after her marriage. In 2010, Maheswari appeared in the serial, Soundaravalli. Then, she featured in the comedy serial, My Name is Manga Tayaru (Telugu) and My Name Is Mangamma (Tamil) in 2012 on Zee TV which was a super hit among households. Her second release, Kushi (2001), in which she starred opposite Pawan Kalyan was a box office success, winning her the Filmfare Best Actress Award (Telugu) following which she acted in several films in Telugu, including Okkadu (2003) opposite Mahesh Babu and Simhadri (2003) opposite Jr. NTR, which became two of the year's highest grossers in Telugu. Meanwhile, she made her debut in the Tamil film industry as well, starring in the film Badri (2001) opposite actor Vijay, which was followed by her second Tamil film Roja Kootam (2002).

After a number of critically and commercially successful films in the South, Chawla starred in her first Bollywood film, Tere Naam (2003), alongside Salman Khan. The film was one of the year's highest grossers. It was a critical success and her performance in the film won her many positive notices as well as several nominations for Best Debut at different award ceremonies. She was nominated for her first Filmfare Best Actress Award and won the Best Debut trophy at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony.

Subsequently, she got to star in a number of Hindi films as Run (2004), a remake of the same-named Tamil film, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa (2004), again opposite Salman Khan, Silsilay (2005) and Dil Jo Bhi Kahey... (2005) alongside Amitabh Bachchan. She returned to Telugu, acting in the films Naa Autograph (2004) (a remake of the Tamil film Autograph) and Jai Chiranjeeva, alongside Chiranjeevi and Sameera Reddy. Whilst Chawla's performance in the former won her accolades and the CineMAA Jury Award for Best Actress, the latter went to become a super hit film.In 2006, Chawla appeared in the Tamil film Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, alongside real-life couple Surya and Jyothika which became a big hit worldwide, whilst playing a vital role in the Hindi film Family - Ties of Blood, in which she shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, and starring in the Telugu fantasy film, Mayabazar. Following which, she acted in the Hindi film Gandhi, My Father as Gulab Gandhi and enacted the title roles in the Telugu films Sathyabhama, in which she played a woman who suffers from Short-term memory loss, and Anasuya, a crime thriller, and in the Bhojpuri film, Gangotri, a sequel to the successful 2006 Bhojpuri film Ganga, acting again alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

In 2008, she made her debut in the Punjabi film industry, starring in Yaariyan, opposite Gurdas Maan, following which she debuted in Malayalam as well, starring in Bhramaram alongside Mohanlal. Currently, she is working on half-a-dozen films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, which include Thangar Bachan's Kalavadiya Pozhudugal opposite Prabhu Deva in Tamil, Yagam alongside Navdeep and Sathyaraj in Telugu and Classmates, a remake of the same-named Malayalam film, in Hindi.

Bhumika Chawla married her long-time boyfriend and Yoga teacher Bharat Thakur on 21 October 2007 at Devlali, Nashik in a Gurdwara. She went regularly to Thakur's courses and is said to have dated him for four years, before eventually marrying him. Bhumika has two siblings; one brother, who is an army officer, and one sister, both elder to her.
