In 1996, he began working as an assistant director to Sundar C. on his successful comedy films Ullathai Allitha and Mettukudi. In 1997, he continued to assist Sundar C. on Arunachalam starring Rajinikanth and he was the co-director of the film Janakiraman. Suraj directed his first film in 1998 Moovendhar which featured R. Sarathkumar and Devayani, the film was a critical and commercial failure. Then, Suraj returned to assist Sundar C. in his films. In 2006, he made his directorial comeback through Thalai Nagaram, remake of Malayalam film Abhimanyu, starring his mentor Sundar C., Jyothirmayi and Vadivelu. The film was released to average reviews and was a surprise hit. The following year, Suraj made his third film Marudhamalai, featured Arjun, Nila and again comedian Vadivelu, despite mixed reviews, the film was a hit. In 2009, he directed Padikathavan starring Dhanush, Tamannaah and due his busy schedule, Vadivelu has been replaced by comedian Vivek. The film, distributed by Sun Pictures, was also a hit. In 2011, he made Mappillai, remake of the 1989 film Mappillai. The film starring Dhanush, Hansika Motwani and Manisha Koirala. Despite largely negative reviews, the film had a good opening but eventually became an average grosser

Stalin, the Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He is married to Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, head of Inbox 1305, a magazine.


His debut film as a producer was Kuruvi, starring Joseph Vijay and Trisha Krishnan. His next venture was Aadhavan, which was released on Deepavali 2009. His third production, Kamal Haasan's Manmadan Ambu, which was released on 23 December 2010. He also produced Ezham Arivu starring Surya Sivakumar.

Karthik Kumar born 21 November 1977 is a noted theatre and Kollywood actor. He is popularly known as 'Evam' Karthik, due to his theater connections. He studied chemical engineering in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai. He is married to playback singer Suchitra Ramadurai . He currently stars as Arjun in the Vijay TV drama Dharmayutham.

Arun Vijay (born 19 November 1977) is a Tamil film actor. He is the only son of veteran film actor Vijayakumar and has been active in the Tamil film industry since 1995. He is also a stunt coordinator in most of his films. An adventurous person by nature, he has his license to skydive from the United States Parachute Association.

Arun Vijay was born into a film family as the only son to actor Vijayakumar and his first wife Muthukannu. He has two elder sisters Kavitha, who has acted in a single film, Coolie,and Anitha. Arun Vijay's step mother is actress Manjula Vijayakumar, who had essayed lead roles in over 100 films in the 1970s, while his half-sisters Vanitha, Preetha and Sridevi have also appeared in several films.

2009, Arun Vijay opted against starring in low budget films and collaborated with his father-in-law's production house Feather Tocuh Entertainment for his future projects. The first venture, Malai Malai directed by A. Venkatesh, became a commercial success. The next film, Maanja Velu (2010) by the same team, was a moderate success.

In 2012, Arun Vijay appeared in Magizh Thirumeni's action-thriller, Thadaiyara Thaakka, marking a move away from his previous two masala films. The film, which featured Mamta Mohandas alongside Arun Vijay, opened to rave reviews. The actor is currently featuring in his fourth successive film under the Feather Touch Entertainment banner, Deal co-starring Karthika Nair.

Kaali Venkat is a Tamil actor who mainly plays supporting roles in films.


Venkat hails from Kudaiyadevanpatti a village near Kovilpatti. Venkat used to act in dramas during his school days. With an ambition to act in films he moved from his village to Chennai in 1997 to enter the Tamil film industry. In Chennai, he was doing jobs like selling groceries and working in a tea shop in order to survive until he met director Vijay Prabakaran. Prabakaran, who Venkat considers his guru, coached and taught him "everything I know about cinema today".



The first film Venkat acted was also by Vijay Prabhakaran, Thasaiyinai Thee Sudinum. The film failed to release but Venkat decided to keep his character name in it, Kaali, as his screen name after everything on the set was calling him by that name. He then acted in various short films made for the Kalaignar TV show Naalaya Iyakkunar and won the Best Actor in a Series Award in Season 3 of the show. After a series of small roles in various feature films, he first gained attention with his role in the action drama Thadaiyara Thaakka. The short films fetched him small roles in bigger projects like Kalakalappu and Udhayam NH4. He played a substantial role in mystery thriller Thegidi, which went on to become a sleeper hit and Venkat stated that he was flooded with friend requests on Facebook post the film's release.


Venkat has been signed up for a number of films, including Mundaasupatti, Kaathadi, Urumeen, India Pakistan and Eetti. Mundaasupatti, based on the same-titled short film which Venkat was also part of, will see him playing the role of an assistant photographer called Azhagasami.

Venkat Sundar is an Indian film actor who has appeared in supporting roles in Tamil films.

Venkat Sundar was born in the rural Kalveerampalayam area of Coimbatore, and subsequently went on to graduate from KGiSL Institute of Information Management, Coimbatore in 2008.

Initially being a reluctant actor, he agreed to star in a series of short films for his friend, for projects titled 536, Ramasamy and Oorukku 4 Peru. His performance in the short films, fetched him an offer to play the role of a college senior in Shankar's Nanban (2012) and subsequently Venkat portrayed a small role in the film. After the release of Nanban, he permanently shifted to Chennai and began to audition for roles in more feature films.

Priyanka Upendra, earlier known as Priyanka Trivedi won Miss Kolkata title in 1996. She has done various modelling assignments afterwards and was introduced in the Bengali film Yoddha. She then worked with the critically acclaimed film director Basu Chaterjee in Hothat Brishti.

She married Upendra, has two children, and has settled in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Vasundhara Das was born in a Tamil family from Bangalore. She studied at Cluny Convent High School, Bangalore and Mount Carmel College, graduating in Economics and Mathematics.

She began training in Hindustani Classical music since the age of six. She used to run away from home to avoid taking music lessons. In her college days, she was part of an all-girl band and can play some Flamenco strums on her guitar.

She speaks Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, English, and a little bit of Telugu.
