Rajesh is an Indian actor who has performed in Tamil, Malayalam films. He has completed more than 25 years in films and appeared in over 150 films.  He has done roles ranging from a hero to a character actor.

Rajesh was born in 1949 in Mannargudi, Tiruvarur district, but his family hails from Anaikkadu, in Thanjavur district.  He studied in Dindigul, Vadamadurai, Melanatham and Aanaikadu. After finishing his PUC in Karaikudi Alagappa College, he graduated from Pachaiappas College. He worked as a teacher in Sacred Paul's High School, Purasawalkam and later at Kellett Higher Secondary School, Triplicane from 1972 to 1979.

In 1974, he got a chance to act in the film Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, but he was not able to act in it.  His first film was Kanni Paruvathile (1979) produced by Rajkannu. Rajesh acted in Achamillai Achamillai by K. Balachander. Later he moved into playing character artist role, and acted in many movies with Kamal Hassan.Now he is into Hotel, Real Estate business and he is a leading builder in the city.  He also wrote biographies of Hollywood actors in Tamil.

In 1983, he married Joan Sylvia who is the grand daughter of the famous social reformist and Dravidian leader Pattukottai Davis. They have one daughter Divya and one son Deepak, who will be making his acting debut in 2014.

Crazy Mohan is a popular Tamil comedy actor, script writer and playwright.

He was a student at the College of Engineering, Guindy, where he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 1973. He wrote his first drama at College of Engineering, Guindy, when he was in the 4th year in 1972. His guide was his classmate S. Ravi, who was the President of Tamil Manram. He founded the popular drama troupe `Crazy Troupe` in 1973 and was its leader and president. Under Mohan, the Crazy Troupe performed over 200 plays across Tamil Nadu, most of the themes involving satire and witty dialogue. The troupe`s name changed in 1976 to `Crazy Creations` and in 1982 to `Crazy Dreams`. In 1988, Mohan founded the prominent production company `Crazy Productions`. However the Crazy troupe continued to perform until 1994, when they were finally disbanded. Mohan`s troupe often competed with S. V. Shekhar`s Mylapore Boys Troupe.

In addition to dramas and teleserials, he has also worked in a number of comedies, like Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Avvai Shanmughi and Panchathanthiram. He has played a small role in each of these films, and he has acted or written dialogue for over 70 films including Arunachalam (starring Rajnikanth).

His brother Maadhu Balaji plays the hero in all his dramas.

His first play was Crazy Thieves in Paalavakkam, through this play the title Crazy fitted and he is called as Crazy Mohan.  

Vijayakumar is a Tamil actor and politician. Along with predominant work in Tamil cinema since 1973, he has acted in a few Hindi and Telugu movies. As of 2009, he is acting in the television serial, Thangam, aired on Sun TV.

Vijayakumar was born in Nattuchalai, Tamil Nadu, India. He debuted as a 12-year old in the 1961 Tamil movie Sri Valli. Again in 1964 with the help of his uncle, he came to Chennai at the age of 15 years and tried for chances but could not make it. Later in 1973 he got an offer to act in films. His first major role was in Kailasam Balachander`s Aval Oru Thodar Kathai in 1974.

His journey in filmdom began as a child actor in the film Sri Valli in 1961. In 1973 Vijayakumar got his first break in Ponnuku Thanga Manasu directed by P. Madhavan. His films of the 1970s include Azhage Unnai Aradhikkerain, Kizhakku Chemaiyile, Velai Kidachirukku, Anthimanthaarai, Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, Mathura Geetham, Deepam and Indrupol Endrum Vaazhga.

Then came Mani Ratnam`s Agni Natchathiram, which narrated the story of two half brothers who fight for their father`s love and property. He has also made brief stints in Telugu Cinema. He has acted in over 400 films. The 1995 film Anthi Mantharai almost took him close to National Film Award for Best Actor.

Vijayakumar`s family consist of wives Muthukannu and Manjula, daughters Kavitha, Anitha, Vanitha, Preetha, Sridevi and son Arun Vijay. So far, Arun and his father have come together on screen just twice—for Pandavar Bhoomi and Maanja Velu.

He is the vice president of South Indian Nadigar sangam. He is also a member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.

Ranganath (Telugu: రంగనాథ్); (born Tirumala Sundara Sri Ranganath) (17 July 1949 – 19 December 2015) was an Indian film actor known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema, Telugu Theater, television, and a few Tamil films.In a film career spanning more than forty years, Ranganath starred in more than three hundred feature films in a variety of roles. He made his debut with the 1969 Telugu film Budhimantudu.

Subsequently, he starred in films such as Chandana, Zamindarugari Ammayi, Devathalara Deevinchandi, Panthulamma, Intinti Ramayanam, America Ammayi, Andame Anandam while establishing himself as one of the finest actors in Telugu cinema. Ranganath received state Nandi Awards for his works.Ranganath hanged himself to death at his residence in Hyderabad on 19 December 2015.

Ranganath was born Tirumala Sundara Sri Ranganath in Madras on 17 July 1949 into the family of T. R. Sundara Raju and T. R. Janaki Devi. He then graduated with a B.A. degree from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. Ranganath then worked as ticket collector for the Indian Railways before becoming an actor. His wife Tirumala Chaithanya died in 2009.They had two daughters, and a son, Tirumala Nagendra Kumar.

Ranganath was found hanging in his residence at Hyderabad on 19 December 2015 at about 5 pm. Family members rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. Police investigated the situation, and upon autopsy and further evidence, confirmed suicide.

Kollam Kanjaveli Kuttilazhikathu Thulasidharan Nair is an actor in Malayalam cinema who is better known as Kollam Thulasi relating the name of his birthplace Kollam to his first name as customary in some parts of Kerala.  His first appearance was in Ezhuthappurangal (1987). He is well known for his unique acting style. He appeared in many television serials. He is also a poet.

He was born in 1945 to Kollam Kanjaveli Kuttilazhikathu P S Nair and Bharathi Amma. After completing a master's degree in History, he pursued Diploma in journalism. In 1970 he entered Kerala Govt. Service at Kozhikode corporation. he retired from Municipal Service from Thiruvananthapuram corporation. He currently resides in Valiyashala. Wife: Vijaya Nair who is an officer at Railway divisional office, Daughter: Gayathri.

John Victor Shea  (shay; born April 14, 1949) is an American actor, producer, and director. His career began on Broadway where he starred in Yentl, subsequently winning his first major award, the 1975 Theatre World Award. Shortly after his Off-Broadway career began, Lee Strasberg invited Shea to join the Actors Studio where he spent several years studying Method acting.

He made his television film debut in The Nativity (1978), alongside Madeleine Stowe. Billed alongside Hellen Mirren, he starred in the noir film Hussy (1980), and the Academy Award-winning drama, Missing (1982).

In 1988, Shea won his first Emmy for his performance as William Stern in Baby M. Shea's subsequent films include, the comedy thriller Coast to Coast (1987), the drama Windy City (1984), the dark crime feature Small Sacrifices (1989), the political thriller The Insurgents (2006), the Tamil language thriller Achchamundu! Achchamundu! (2009), the drama An Invisible Sign (2010), and the foreign film The Italian Key (2011).

His breakthrough came when he was cast as Lex Luthor in the 1990s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman subsequently being cast as Adam Kane in the 2000s Mutant X series. Shea's public profile increased in 2012 after his five-year role as Harold Waldorf, Blair Waldorf's father on Gossip Girl.

Shea has been also noted for his political involvement in social equity which in 1984 lead him to organize the largest peace rally in the history of the United States garnering praise by various non-governmental organizations such as Amnesty International. In 2014, Shea announced his directional debut with Grey Lady scheduled to release in early 2016.

Shea was born in North Conway, New Hampshire, near where his father was teaching at Fryeburg Academy, Maine, and was raised in the Sixteen Acres area of Springfield, Massachusetts with four siblings. His parents were Elizabeth Mary (née Fuller) and Dr. John Victor Shea, Jr., who served in the U.S. Army during World War II, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, who became a teacher, coach and later assistant Superintendent of Schools. Elizabeth Shea introduced John to literature, poetry, classical music, and art and urged him to study the piano.

Shea attended Roman Catholic schools in Springfield, graduating from Cathedral High School, where he captained the varsity debate team and played varsity football and track. Shea studied at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre.

He performed on the varsity debating and football teams and co-edited the college literary magazine, Puffed Wheat, before graduating in 1970. He studied acting and directing at the Yale School of Drama of Yale University under Dean Robert Brustein, gaining an M.F.A in Directing in 1973.During his time at the School of Drama, he also performed at the Yale Repertory Theatre, in the Yale cabaret with schoolmates Joe Grifasi and Meryl Streep, and studied film making with Arthur Penn, Sidney Lumet, and George Roy Hill in the film program at the Art and Architecture School.

The shining star of the Bollywood, one of the most glamorous actresses of the Hindi Film Industry, Parveen Babi is considered as one of the most eminent actresses who changed the image of Bollywood actresses. She was the one who used to lit up the silver screen with her sexy, glamorous and charming looks during the era of 1970s. She has given some great blockbuster hits to the industry.

Parveen Wali aka Parveen Babi was born on 4th April 1949 in a Gujarati muslim family in Junagadh. She was an only child to her parents and was born after 14 years of her parents' marriage. Her father Wali Mohammad Babi used to work as an administrator for the Nawab of Junagadh. Unfortunately, he died when Parveen was just 7 years old. Parveen got her school education in Aurangabad and later did her graduation from St. Xavier's College in Ahmedabad.

Parveen started her film career with the film 'Charitra' in the year 1973. She was still studying then. She was launched by the director R.B. Ishara opposite cricketer Saleem Durrani. The film could not do well but Parveen was recognized by many filmmakers. She later worked with many popular directors and actors of that time. Her pair with Amitabh Bachchan was considered as a hit pair and the duo has given some of the greatest Bollywood hits of all times. Parveen and Amitabh's some of the hit films are 'Amar Akbar Anthony' , 'Majboor' ,'Kaala Patthar' ,'Deewaar ' and 'Kaalia . Parveen earned a lot of appreciation and recognition with these films. She also acted with Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi in 'Mahaan' and 'Ashanti'. She appeared on the cover page of the famous TIME magazine in 1976. She was the first Indian to appear on the cover page of TIME magazine to depict the changing visage of Indian cinema. Some of the other hit films in which Parveen appeared are 'Namak Halal ' ,'Kranti ' ,'Suhaag ' ,'The Burning Train ' ,'Meri Awaz Suno', 'Yeh Nazdeekiyan' ,'Khud-daar' ,'Shaan' ,'Do Aur Do Paanch', 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' etc.

Parveen featured in Hindi cinema for almost 13 years. But she was always entangled in various controversies. She stopped appearing in Hindi films and went to New York after been diagnosed with Schizophrenia. She concentrated on spirituality and got influenced by the teachings of Osho and U. G. Krishnamurti. When she returned to India, she was unrecognizable as she put on oodles of weight. She again got entangled in the controversies when she filed the complaints against the dignitaries like Amitabh Bachchan and Bill Clinton for an attempt to kill her. The petitions were rejected by the court as there was no evidence found.

Over the years, her psychological illness became bad to worse and then she stopped appearing publicly. Her mental condition worsened after her mother's death. Though she never married throughout her life, she openly discussed her romantic involvement with the married men like Mahesh Bhatt, Danny Denzongpa and Kabir Bedi.

Parveen stayed lonely and aloof entire her life and till death. She died an isolated death. During her last days, she stopped meeting anybody and stayed alone in her posh apartment. When the milk and newspapers remain uncollected for three days, the residential society secretary called police and Parveen was found dead on 22nd January 2005.She was 55 at the time of death. She was suffering from diabetes and the complications in diabetes resulted in getting a gangrene on her left foot. According to the autopsy reports, she died due to multiple organ failure due to complications in diabetes. The police suspected that she would have died 72 hours before her dead body was found. It was a horrific death anybody would get said many Bollywood personalities when they heard the news of their Co-stars isolated death.

Lonely Parveen Babi could not get anybody's loyal company throughout her entire life and at the time of death as well.

Rama Narayanan (3 April 1949 – 22 June 2014) was an Indian film director and producer. In the 1980s, he was known as a director who specialised in shooting commercial films in which animals played vital roles, while in the 1990s, several of his films were based on Hindu devotional subjects.

He has also headed the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) for three consecutive elections, before resigning in 2011. He died on 22 June 2014 at a Singapore Hospital due to kidney related ailments.

Rama Narayanan came to Chennai intending to become a songwriter, but he became a dialogue writer for films. He and his friend M. A. Khaja started to write dialogues together under the pen name Ram-Rahim.

In 1976, Rama Narayanan wrote his first story, screenplay and dialogue for the film Aasai Arubadhu Naal.He produced his first film Meenakshi Kungumam in 1977 and directed his first film Sumai in 1981. He also wrote the script for Chiranjeevi's film Punnami Naagu. His 50th film was Veeran Veluthambi, for which M. Karunanidhi wrote the story and dialogue. His 100th film was Thirupathi Ezhumalai Venkatesa.

In the 2010s, he finished the making of a comedy film titled Siva Poojaiyil Karadi with Shiva and Udhayathara in the lead roles, but the film did not have a theatrical release.

Rama Narayanan was an MLA from the Karaikudi constituency in 1989 and the chairman of Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram in 1996. He has received the Kalaimamani award of the State Government.

Rani Chandra (born in Kochi, Kerala) was a Malayalam film actress and winner of the Miss Kerala Title.She died in a plane crash in 1976. She acted in several landmark films such as Nellu (Malayalam, 1974), Bhadrakali (Tamil, 1976) and Swapnadanam (Malayalam, 1976).

She was born to Chandran and Kanthimathi in 1949 at Fort Kochi, Travancore-Cochin (now Kerala). She had four sisters and a brother. She pursued degree from St Thereses College Ernakulam. She owned a dance troupe. She was selected as Miss Kerala in 1972.

Her first film, Anjusundarikal, was widely accepted by the audience. Other major films included Ulsavam, Kadarumasam, Nellu, Swapnadanam, Oonjal, Alinganam, Abhinandanam, Sindoooram, Thirumadhuram, and Anuragam.

She won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for the film Swapnadanam. Rani Chandra played the major role in the very popular Tamil cinema song "Kannan Oru Kaikuzhanthai" on YouTube in the film Bhadrakali.

Rani Chandra, her mother, and three sisters were killed in Indian Airlines Flight 171 crash in 1976. They were on a return flight from Bombay when their plane caught fire and nose dived near the airport, killing everyone on board.

They were returning from a Dance performance in the Middle East. Ironically, their earlier flight from Bombay to Madras returned to Bombay shortly after take off after a snag hit. The aircraft and all passengers were re-boarded onto the flight. The dead included members of her music troupe as well.

After her death, the unfinished portion of the movie Bhadrakali was finished using a double. The movie ends using earlier footage of Rani Chandra.

Actress Kalimaamani KR Indira, sister of popular dubbing artist Anuradha and the mother of dubbing artist Jayageetha.

Indira made her acting debut in Konjum Kumari where even Aachi Manorama made her debut.  Indira was the onscreen pair for Nambiar in MGR’s Petraal Dhaan Pillaiyaa.  She had acted in more than 250 films, the notable ones being Kandhan Karunai, Sindhu Bairavi, Mannan and Panakkaaran. Her last film was Girivalam where she played granny to Richard.

She passed away the 16th March, 2017
