Jamuna (born 30 August 1936) is a veteran Telugu actress, a director and a politician.

Jamuna was born in Hampi,Karnataka to Nippani Srinivas Rao, a Madhwa Brahmin business man, and Kausalya Devi, an Arya Vysya. She grew up in Duggirala, Guntur District in Andhra Pradesh state, India..When Savitri was performing drama in Duggirala , she stayed in Jamuna's house . As said Later Savitri invited Jamuna to act in films .She entered as heroine in movies at the age of 14

She also established Telugu artist association and doing social service through it for the last 25 years.

She joined Congress party in 1980s and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Rajahmundry constituency in 1989. She then retired from politics but briefly campaigned for the B.J.P. in 1990s.

She married Professor Juluri Ramana Rao, a Zoology professor in S.V University, in 1965. They have a son, Vamsikrishna and daughter, Sravanthi. They live in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Born in an orthodox Tamil Brahmin family, Vyjayanthimala made her screen debut at the age of 13 through the Tamil film Vazhkai 1949 and acted in Bollywood films Bahar and Ladki. Following the success of Nagin, Vyjayanthimala established herself as one of the Bollywood's leading actresses and a successful actress of Tamil descent.

She left the industry after shooting for the historical Hindu film Amrapali which was based on the life of Nagarvadhu of Vaishali, Amrapali, though director Baldev Raj Chopra felt that she could have easily continued for another decade in lead roles.

Besides films, Vyjayanthimala's main concentration was in Bharata Natyam a form of Indian classical dance. After quitting movies Vyjayanthimala Bali continued with her dance career. In addition, Vyjayanthimala was conferred with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the highest Indian recognition given to practicing artists. The award was presented to Vyjayanthimala in 1982 for her contribution in Bharata Natyam field. Moreover,Vyjayanthimala is also an avid golfer and is one of the oldest golfers in Chennai. She has also served as chairperson of 48th national Film.

At the age of 5, Vyjayanthimala was chosen to perform a classical Indian dance for Pope Pius while her mother was an audience in 1940 at Vatican City. Vyjayanthi did her schooling from Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Presentation Convent, Church Park, Chennai.She learned Bharata Natyam from Guru Vazhuvoor Ramiah Pillai and Carnatic music from Manakkal Sivaraja Iyer. She had her arangetram at the age of 13 and started performing all over Tamil Nadu later.

When director M. V. Raman was looking for a new face to cast in AVM Production's Vazhkai he saw Vyjayanthimala performing Bharata Natyam in Chennai's Gokhale Hall. He tried to convince her grandmother, who was apprehensive about Vyjayanthimala joining films as she felt it would come in the way of her education and dance.Vyjayanthimala played a college girl named Mohana Shivashankaralingam and acted along with senior actors S. V. Sahasranamam, M. S. Draupadi, T.R Ramachandra and K. Sankarapani. The movie was a big success and was remade in Telugu after one year as Jeevitham with a slightly different cast, namely, This film also enjoyed great success upon release.The success of sex film Vazhkai in South India inspired AVM Productions to remake it in Hindi as Bahar in 1951. In their first Hindi venture, they decided to cast Vyjayanthimala again in the lead role with Karan Dewan, Om Prakash and Pandari Bai.

Solomon Pappaiah (born 22 February 1936), a.k.a. Solomon Pappiah and Salomon Pappayah is a popular Tamil language scholar and a television icon in Tamil Nadu, India. He is best known for moderating Tamil debate talk shows, known as 'patti mandrams', which have been airing on Sun TV for quite a long time. He is credited for taking social themes to the masses and has so far moderated over 5,000 debates programmes across the globe.

Born as the ninth child in a family of 12 to Mr.A.Sundaram and Mrs.S.Pakkiam, Pappaiah had his job cut out as his father was a mill worker and did not have the wherewithal to financially support his studies. He has also written and directed plays at college.

Pappaiah is known for his ‘down to earth' speaking style. His command over Tamil enables him to get complex literary issues across to the common man. This has enabled him to take social themes to the masses and bring about a social awakening in the evolution of patti mandrams in Tamilnadu and beyond.

  • Annamalai University conferred him with "Muthamizh Perarignar" award in 2010

Moorthy Natraja Shastri know as Venniradai Moorthy is a Tamil film comedian. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also essayed supporting roles.

He is lawyer by profession and holds a B.L. degree in addition to being a self-proclaimed astrologer. He is married to actress Manimala who played Suhasini's mother in Sindhu Bairavi. 

He is also a well known script-writer. Kamal Haasan's first full-fledged film as hero, Maalai Sooda Vaa had Murthy as a script writer.
