Kartikeya Gummakonda (born 21 September 1992) is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Telugu films. He is noted for his performance in the 2018 romantic action film RX100. He then appeared in films such as Hippi, Guna 369, Nani's Gang Leader and 90ML.

Kartikeya Gummakonda was born and brought up in Hyderabad. His parents own a school in the neighbourhood of Vanasthalipuram. After graduating from National Institute of Technology, Warangal,then he chose to pursue a career in acting.

In August 2021, Gummakonda got engaged to his girlfriend Lohitha Reddy whom he met during college days in 2010.
Gummakonda made his debut with Prematho Mee Karthik (2017), but became noted with RX 100 (2018) directed by Ajay Bhupathi under the banner Kartikeya Creative Works.

The film was a commercial success which earned him recognition. In the consecutive year, he appeared in films such as Hippi, Guna 369, Nani's Gang Leader and 90ML, with all four releasing in 2019.

Gummakonda worked out in order to achieve authenticity in the role of a kickboxer for Hippi. Guna 369 is about a real incident that took place in Ongole. In a review of the film by The Times of India, the reviewer wrote that "Karthikeya does his best to pour life into the titular character".

Gummakonda made his first appearance as a villain opposite Nani in Gang Leader.He landed the role after the film's director Vikram Kumar liked his acting in RX 100,and he received positive reviews for his portrayal of Dev.Despite enjoying the craze, his intent to evolve as a performer was clearly seen in his antagonist role from Nani's Gang Leader. Post the success of it, he's signed to play an interesting lead role in 90ML.

 In a review of the film by The Times of India, the reviewer wrote that "Kartikeya gets a role that requires him to dance like a dream and fight like a pro for the most part and he aces it completely."In 2021, he played Basti Balaraju in Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, a hearse driver who falls in love with a widow. Reviewing his performance, a critic from The Indian Express stated: "Kartikeya wins applauds for his depiction of Basthi Balaraju."

In 2021, he starred in Raja Vikramarka where he plays the role of an NIA officer.Gummakonda is also signed to play the antagonist in the Ajith-starrer Valimai which marks his debut in Tamil cinema.

Raja Rani is an upcoming Tamil romantic comedy film directed by debutant Atlee Kumar, who previously worked with Shankar as an assistant in Enthiran 2010 and produced by A. R. Murugadoss in association with Fox Star Studios. The film features Arya, Jai, Nayantara, Sathyaraj, Santhanam and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles. It received 'U' Certificate from Central Board of Film Certification. The film is scheduled to release on 27 September 2013.

Atlee Kumar, an assistant director to Shankar, narrated his script to Murugadoss in early 2012 and the pair agreed to make a film featuring Arya and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Atlee Kumar, who had worked under director Shankar for Enthiran and Nanban will turn a director with his film Raja Rani starring Arya, Nayanthara, Jai, Sathyaraj and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles. Karunakaran is a Tamil film actor, who has appeared in character roles. He made his breakthrough playing a lead role in Soodhu Kavvum (2013) portraying the role of Arumai Pragasam, before playing roles in Jigarthanda and Yaamirukka Bayamey.

Karunakaran's father is a former RAW agent and he grew up in New Delhi, before later moving to Trichy with his parents, where he met short film maker and friend Nalan Kumarasamy. He initially made a career as chemical engineer, graduating from SASTRA University, and then as an IT professional at Accenture, before Nalan approached him to feature in a short film he was making for the reality television show, Naalaya Iyakkunar. Karunakaran had featured in such short film ventures at school and Nalan had cast him in Nenjuku Neethi, which went on to win the first place award that season. Sundar C gave him brief roles in two of his ventures, while he made his first breakthrough portraying Vijay Sethupathi's friend in Karthik Subbaraj's Pizza (2012), after which he left work and concentrated on a career in films.

Nalan subsequently cast him in his feature film debut Soodhu Kavvum, for which Karunakaran won rave reviews. His appearance in the "Kasu Panam Thuttu" song also was well received and prompted several further offers for the actor.His performance in Yaamirukka Bayamey was appreciated by critics. He has over half-a-dozen upcoming films, including Jigarthanda, Nanbenda, Kanithan, Kappal, Mahabalipuram, Aadama Jaichomada and Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani.

Actor and socialite Prabhu Lakshman has passed away. He suffered a heart attack and breathed his last in Madurai on Thursday November 5, 2015. Prabhu played one of the buddies to the Ok Kanmani.

Sudha Chandran is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, Indian film and television actress, who turned to acting following the loss of a leg in an accident in May 1981 near Trichy, Tamil Nadu.

Sudha Chandran was born to Malayali parents in Irinjalakuda. She was born in Kerala on 21st September, 1964.  She earned her B.A from Mithibai College, Mumbai and subsequently an M.A in Economics. In 1981, while traveling from Mumbai to the South for a pilgrimage via the Scindia School in Tamil Nadu, she met with an accident in which she was wounded. The doctors missed a wound on her ankle and plastered the leg. After two weeks, Chandran returned to Madras for a checkup and doctors realized that the wound was now infected and a gangrene had formed and there was no alternative other than to amputate her leg. Chandran says that this period was the toughest time of her life. 

She subsequently overcame her disability with the help of a prosthetic 'Jaipur foot', becoming one of the most highly acclaimed dancers of the Indian subcontinent.

She received invitations from all over the world for performances. She was honored with various awards. She performed as far away from home as Europe, Canada and the Middle East. Soon after she catapulted to fame and recognition by venturing into the world of films and television. She gained fame after the tragic incident. Now she has become an inspiration to many.

The 1984 Telugu film Mayuri, in which she plays herself, was inspired by her lifetime story.  The 1986 film Nache Mayuri was a Hindi remake of the Telugu original. She came to be known as Mayuri girl after that.

Mayuri film so inspired and moral support for the people who affected and amputated by the Sri Lankan Army shelling and all the land mines in Sri Lanka in 80's.

Jeeva (21 September 1963 – 25 June 2007) was an Indian cinematographer and film director in Tamil cinema.

Jeeva began his career as a cinematographer in the Malayalam film Abhimanyu starring Mohanlal and went on to film over 20 films including his own directorials. He was director Shankar's usual cinematographer in his early years and Jeeva's work in Shankar's Kadhalan fetched him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Cinematographer. He had also collaborated several times with director Priyadarshan.


The four completed films he directed, namely 12B, Run (Hindi version), Ullam Ketkumae and Unnale Unnale, have become blockbusters. He died after suffering acute cardiac arrest in Russia on 25 June at the age of 43. At the time of his death, he was busy with the final schedule of his latest film, Dhaam Dhoom. The film was completed by his assistant, Manikandan, his wife Anees and cinematographer P. C. Sriram. He is survived by his wife, Anees and two children, Sana Mariam and Aalia.

Singeetam Srinivasa Rao (born 21 September 1931) is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, composer, singer, lyricist and actor, known for his works in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films, across multiple genres.The octogenarian is widely regarded as one of the versatile directors of India.He is credited with having revolutionised the South Indian cinema with experimental films. He has garnered two National Film Awards, six state Nandi Awards, three Filmfare Awards South, and three Karnataka State Film Awards.

In 2010, Srinivasa Rao headed the Jury of the Indian Panorama at the 8th Chennai International Film Festival. In 2011, Rao received the Life Achievement Award from the Film Federation of India at the 4th Global Film Festival. Rao was also the Guest of honor alongside Barrie Osbourne at the Media and Entertainment Business Conclave 2012 hosted by FICCI and FFI.In 2012, Rao served as one of the selection committee member for the Sundance Institute's screenwriters lab.

The 2003 animation film, Son of Aladdin had 1100 shots and 125 characters.The film won Special Mention in the Competition section at the 2003 International Children’s Film Festival Hyderabad,and was subsequently premiered at the 37th International Film Festival of India.The 2008 animation film Ghatothkach, was premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival in the Critics' Week section, and was also premiered to special mention at the Grand Finale - Children's Film Festival 2014 of the 44th International Film Festival of India.

Rao served as the executive director for the 1970 Kannada film, Samskara which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film, and Bronze Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival.He made his Telugu directorial debut with Neethi Nijayithi (1972).

He then directed social problem films like Dikkatra Parvathi (1974), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil, Filmfare Award for Best Film – Tamil for that year, and Tharam Marindhi, which won Nandi Award for Best Feature Film, both of which were premiered at International Film Festival of India and the Moscow Film Festival.

The 1988 silent film, Pushpaka Vimana gained international acclaim, including 1988 Cannes Film Festival premiere in the International Critics' Week. The film has received the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and Filmfare Award South for Best Film.
