Sonarika Bhadoria  is noted for her portrayal of Goddess Parvati & Adi Shakti in the TV show Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev that airs on Life OK.

Sonarika hails from a Rajput family. Her father is in the construction business whereas her mother is a homemaker. She is basically From Lucknow.She also has a younger brother named Harsh Bhadoria. 

Sonarika debuted in the television show Tum Dena Saath Mera that aired on Life OK in 2011.Before that she was to play the lead role in Rajan Shahi\\\'s untitled serial which never happened. After Tum Dena Saath Mera she was cast in the show Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev as Parvati. She got immense fame and popularity for the portrayal of Goddes Parvati/ Adishakti as well as Durga and Mahakali.

Early life

Sarah-Jane Dias was born to a Roman Catholic family in Muscat. She is from a Mangalorean konkani speaking family. Her father, Eustace Dias, is a marketing manager with Oilfields Supply Centre and her mother is named Yolanda. She also has a sister named Elena Rose Dias.

Career

In Mumbai, Dias was discovered by Suresh Natrajan by chance when she walked onto his set and was immediately hired for the campaign he was shooting.  At the age of 21, she won a talent hunt TV show, which gave her a chance to host a Channel V show.  She then became the host of Get Gorgeous, a supermodel hunt TV show on the network.

In 2006, Dias featured in the music video for Australian rock group INXS's "Never Let You Go" from their album Switch.

The next year Dias participated in Femina Miss India 2007.  She subsequently won the title of Femina Miss India World 2007 and represented the country at Miss World 2007 but did not place.

Dias scored her first major film role in the 2010 Tamil romantic comedy, Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai opposite Kollywood star Vishal Krishna. She appeared in a Telugu film named Panjaa with Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan which was released in 2011. She appeared in the Hindi movie Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum opposite Ritesh Deshmukh in 2012. She currently appeared in latest film, Zubaan, released in March 2016.

Konkona made her acting debut in the year 1983 through the film 'Indira'. She worked as a child artist in this film. After growing up, she made her debut in 2000 as a lead role in one Bengali film known as 'Ek Je Aachhe Kanya' . Then she appeared in the film of veteran director 'Rituparno Ghosh' named as 'Titli' in 2001.

She made her debut in Hindi with her mother's Aparna Sen's film 'Mr. and Mrs. Iyer' in 2002. Her fabulous performance and acting skills in that film brought her the National Movie Award for the Best Actress. Then she appeared in Shonali Bose's 'Amu' in 2005. She got into a real fame when she did a fantastic job in Madhur Bhandarkar's film 'Page 3' in 2005. After this film, Konkona became a household name. She got a lot of critical appreciation for her role of a journalist in that movie. Her next release was Aparna Sen's movie '15 Park Avenue' in which she played a role of a schizophrenic patient. For this movie also she got critical accolades, Later she has appeared in many films like 'Mixed Doubles','Yun Hota To Kya Hota' . Her performance in Vishal Bhardwaj's film 'Omkara' was also well appreciated. She won a National Movie Award for Best Supporting Actor for this film.

Later she appeared in 'Traffic Signal' and 'Life in a Metro' for which she won the Moviefare Best Supporting Actress Award. Her next releases 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' and 'Aaja Nachle' could not do well at the box office. But she made a successful comeback in the film 'The President Is Coming'. She got very good reviews for her role in that film. Her next films 'Luck By Chance' and 'Wake Up Sid' were also hit movies. Next, she appeared in many movies like 'Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge','Right yaaa Wrong','Mirch','7 Khoon Maaf' etc.

Currently Konkona is looking forward for her next release 'Ek Thi Daayan' by Ekta Kapoor along with Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi. And she will be seen in the films like 'Blind Night','Gour Hari Dastaan' and many other Bengali projects.
