Her third release was lift (2021), the film opt a theatrical release, and released directly via Disney+ Hotstar.The film makes a mixed reviews and high positive reviews from the critics.As of 2022, Amritha is currently shooting for her upcoming Telugu film Hanuman, she also signed a film to appeare as female lead with director Sundar C.'s untitled film starring Jiiva, Jai and Srikanth.

Rajesh Murugesan from Nagercoil and hails from Thripunithura in Ernakulam district, Kerala. He completed his schooling at Cochin Refineries School, Ambalamugal and graduated with a Degree from SAE International College, Chennai in 2008.

She also learnt the classical dancing form Kathak but had to discontinue due to her father's transferable job. While recording a song one day, she was spotted by noted director G. V. Iyer who signed her on for a Hindi television serial Kadambari. She was supposed to play Sita's role in a film adaptation of Ramayana that G. V. Iyer was planning to shoot, however the director died and the project failed to materialize. During her eleventh standard, she acted in further TV serials, including one by K. Balachander, while anchoring in a TV channel as a part-time job.

Khan wanted to be a doctor but joined acting. Her acting career began while visiting the set of Yuvrajat Subhash Ghai's film school Whistling Woods. Salman Khan noticed her and decided to cast her for his friend Anil Sharma's film Veer because, he said, "She looks the character — the sweet princess she is playing in Veer". After a screen test, Khan was given the lead role of Princess Yashodhara. She gained eight kilograms in order to be more convincing as a 19th-century princess.The film revolves around the 1825 Pindari movement of Rajasthan, when India was ruled by the British. Veer did not do well at the Box office; however, her performance received mix reviews from both critics and public. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama observed that "Zarine resembles Katrina Kaif, but wears one expression all through". Nikhat Kazmi of Times of India concluded that "Zarine is unimpressive". Rediff.com mentions that "Zarine is average". Critic Subhash K. Jha called her performance a "Zarine's charm adds to her adorable screen presence." Khan was nominated for Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
