Ishita Sharma is an Indian actress. Ishita Sharma stepped into Bollywood with a prime role in Dil Dosti Etc and went on to play the parallel lead in Shahrukh Khan’s Dulha Mil Gaya. Kainaat Arora is an Indian model turned actress who is making her Debut in Bollywood comedy film, Grand Masti.

She is the cousin of late actress Divya Bharti.  Kainaat has also done special appearances and item songs in Mankatha and Khatta Meetha.  She appeared in a Malayalam film song and is going to be seen in an item song of Hate Story 2.

Daniel Balaji is an Indian actor, who has predominantly appears in Tamil films.  Daniel Balaji's uncle is Kannada film director Siddalingaiah.  His first role was in the television serial Chitthi, where he played a character named Daniel. After the success of the show, in his second serial Alaigal, director Sunder K Vijayan, named him as Daniel Balaji thinking that he portrayed his own character in Chithi.

His first film in Tamil was April Maadhathil, followed by a role in Kaadhal Kondein His first major role was in Kaakha Kaakha as a police officer alongside Suriya who played the leading role. The film, directed by Gautham Menon was about a squad of policemen fighting organised crime in Chennai. Balaji followed this up with another major role in Menon's next film, that of the antagonist Amudhan in the blockbuster Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The film starred Kamal Hassan and was a police procedural focusing on a series of murders. Balaji's portrayal of both these roles received praise.

His next film Polladhavan was also successful. He also acted as one of the villains in the Telugu film Chirutha and followed this up by playing the hero in Muthirai produced by Vision Jeeva Studios.

Balaji made his debut in Malayalam cinema through Black. Later he was cast the villain in Bhagavan (opposite Mohanlal) and Daddy Cool (opposite Mammootty).

Viji Chandrasekhar is an Indian film actress. She has appeared in several Tamil films in the female lead role while she has also featured in television serials. She is the younger sister of actress Saritha.

Kumaresan Duraisamy (born 2 December 1963), better known by his stage name Napoleon, is a Tamil film actor, politician and the founder and chairman of the Jeevan Technologies. As of 27 May 2009, He is the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Cabinet. During his early ages, he acted in nearly 100 movies in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam language and Kannada films.

Kumaresan Duraisamy, better known as Napoleon, was born on 2 December 1963—the fifth of six children. His family was occupied in agriculture. He graduated from St. Joseph's College, Trichy. His Father is Duraisamy Reddiar and Mother Saraswathi Ammal

After college, he moved to Trichy and became enthused by the ideologies of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. He joined the party in which his uncle K. N. Nehru was already a member and at that time the Public Welfare Minister of the state government.

Napoleon contested the State Assembly elections of 2001, winning the Villivakkam constituency contest and thereby becoming a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He lost his membership in the 2006 elections, when he contested from the Mylapore constituency and was defeated by actor S. Ve. Shekhar. Subsequently, Napoleon nurtured the Perambalur constituency in the hope of becoming a member of parliament for the DMK, and succeeded in the 2009 Lok Sabha election. He was then appointed Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in Union government.

When aged 27, he watched the film Udhayam, the dubbed version of the Telugu film Siva, and was inspired to take up acting. He entered the Tamil film industry in 1991 with P. Bharathiraja's rural film Pudhu Nellu Pudhu Naathu, playing the antagonist role. Other roles followed, including in Yejamaan (1993) Seevalaperi Pandi, Devasuram, Ravanaprabhu, Vattaram, Pokkiri and Dasavatharam. His role as Mundakkal Shekharan in the blockbuster action film Devasuram is widely regarded as his best performance to-date. He reprised the role in the Ravanaprabhu, a sequel to Devasuram.

Among the forthcoming Tamil and Telugu films in which he features are Saleem, Oye!, Pallikondapuram and Azhagarmalai.

In 2000 Napoleon founded Jeevan Technologies in Chennai, and then expanded into the USA and New Zealand. In 2008, the Jeevan IT Academy was started with the mission of training graduates to enter the corporate world with a thorough knowledge of industry standards.

Vijayalakshmi Vadlapati (2 December 1960 – 23 September 1996), known popularly as Silk Smitha, was an Indian film artiste who worked predominantly in the South Indian languages. She entered the film industry as an extra actress, and first got noticed for her role as "Silk" in the 1979 Tamil film Vandichakkaram. She became the most sought-after erotic actress in the early 1980s and in a career spanning 17 years, she appeared in over 450 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages. On September 23, 1996, she was found dead in her apartment in Chennai, apparently having committed suicide.

Vadlapati was born in a poor family in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh. She left school after her fourth standard (in India, at about 8 years of age) due to the family's financial constraints.She left her married life and ran off to Chennai. Her striking looks burdened her with uninvited attention, and her family married her off at a very young age. When she was ill-treated by her husband and in-laws, she ran away to Madras (now known as Chennai) and started living with an aunt.
Vijayalakshmi started as a touch-up artist for a B-grade actress, and soon got a break in small character roles. Later she was discovered by Tamil director Vinu Chakravarthy at a flour mill. He renamed her Smitha, and took her under his wing: his wife taught her English, and arranged for her to learn dancing from another teacher. Smitha made her debut in the Malayalam film Inaye Thedi in 1979, though soon, due to her marked sex appeal, she switched to roles of cabaret dancers and vamps and inevitably found herself type casted. After garnering much notice and acclaim with her first major role in the Tamil film Vandichakkaram, in 1979, Smitha assumed the screen name "Silk", after her character's name in the movie. However after it became a big hit, she could not escape typecasting, severely limiting her range throughout her career.

Silk Smitha went on to star in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and a few Hindi films. Her dance numbers, semi-nude scenes and bold performances in films like Moondru Mugam made her the ultimate symbol of sensuality in South Indian cinema. Her item numbers in films like Amaran, Hallimeshtru Kannada were also celebrated at the box office. Some film critics, historians and journalists have referred to her as a "soft porn" actress. A vast majority of her movies are considered 'softcore' by Indian standards and a common theme is her playing a freakishly strong agent in skimpy bikinis beating up huge thugs. Her acting prowess did not go completely unnoticed and in her rare non-sexual roles, she impressed critics and audiences, such as her portrayal of a wife hurt by her husband's infidelity in Alaigal Oivathillai (1981). One of her films, Layanam (1989), has earned a cult status in the Indian adult film industry, and was dubbed in numerous languages including, Hindi as Reshma Ki Jawani (2002), which too acquired cult status. Her most respected film is Moondram Pirai by Balu Mahendra, remade in Hindi as Sadma, with much of the top-drawer cast, including Sridevi, Kamal Hassan, and Silk Smitha reprising their roles.

Such was her audience-drawing power that, at the peak of her career, according to Tamil film historian, Randor Guy, "Films that had lain in cans for years were sold by the simple addition of a Silk Smitha song.”.

In 1996, Smitha was found dead in her Chennai apartment. In the prior year she had been trying to move her career to become a film producer. Financial problems, a disillusionment in love and an alcohol dependency apparently led to depression. It is suspected that Smitha committed suicide by poisoning herself.

In 2011, a biopic on Silk Smitha's life, titled The Dirty Picture, was produced in Hindi by Ekta Kapoor. The movie was directed by Milan Luthria  and starred Vidya Balan (who later won Best Actress) as Smitha along with Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor. The movie was released on Smitha's birthday on December 2, 2011 and received favourable reviews. The same day, The Times of India published her top 10 movie scenes in its Top 10 videos.The Dirty Picture's Telugu dubbed version released in theatres across Andhra Pradesh has broken a 25-year record in box office collections (in dubbed films category). Reports suggest that the family of Silk Smitha, on whom the film is based, is not happy with the movie. Silk Smitha's brother V Naga Vara Prasad claimed the film was made without the family's consent. After the claim, Ekta Kapoor immediately changed her statement by quoting The Dirty Picture is not based on Silk Smitha's life.

More recently, Bollywood actress Kavita Radheshyam did a Tribute photo shoot for Silk Smitha. Kavita Radheshyam earlier came into Controversy when she did a semi nude photo shoot for Animal Rights, In this tribute Kavita quoted Silk to be a very down to earth woman who helped people in need.

Paul Michael (2 December 1958), better known by his stage name Lal, is an Indian film director, actor, script writer, producer, and film distributor widely known for his work in Malayalam cinema.



He is best known for teaming up with Siddique under the shared name Siddique-Lal to make films such as Ramji Rao Speaking (1989), In Harihar Nagar (1990), Godfather (1991), Vietnam Colony (1992), and Kabooliwala (1994). The duo broke off afterwards but he produced Siddique's Hitler (1996) and Friends (1999) under his production company Lal Creations. Other films he has produced include Thenkasipattanam (2000), Kalyanaraman (2002), Chathikkatha Chanthu (2004), Thommanum Makkalum (2005), and Chanthupottu (2005).



Lal's debut as an actor came in 1997 when he played Paniyan in Jayaraj's Kaliyattam. He is known for his serious as well as comedic roles and has twice won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his roles in Thalappavu (2008) and Ayal and Zachariayude Garbhinikal (2013). After sixteen years, Lal returned to directing with sequels to In Harihar Nagar, 2 Harihar Nagar (2009) and In Ghost House Inn (2010).


Lal was born on 2 December 1958, as Paul Michael to M. A. Paul and Philomina in a Roman Catholic Latin Rite family of the Archdiocese of Verapoly at Ernakulam. He is married to Nancy. The couple have a son Jean Paul Lal, who is an upcoming movie director and a daughter Monica.Music director Alex Paul, who composed soundtracks for the sequels of In Harihar Nagar, is his younger brother.



He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan, along with his childhood friend Siddique, who would later team up as Siddique-Lal to make many films. Lal and Siddique joined as assistant directors to Fazil in 1984.



The Siddique-Lal team became directors with Ramji Rao Speaking. They went on to make four more hit films in a row: In Harihar Nagar, Godfather, Vietnam Colony and Kabooliwala. Lal and Siddique were also associate directors for Fazil's Manichithrathazhu (1993). They are two of the most successful directors in the history of Malayalam cinema. All their movies were record-breaking blockbusters.




After that, both decided to part ways as a director pair and Lal turned producer with the Siddique-directed Mammootty-starrer Hitler.[2] Lal debuted in acting with a villain role as Paniyan in Suresh Gopi-starrerKaliyattam, directed by Jayaraj. Kaliyattam was a new take on Othello where Lal played Paniyan, the character standing for Iago.



Lal started acting in Tamil films with N. Linguswamy's Sandakozhi. Lal's other major roles include Sikkander Singh in Punjabi House, Jeevan in Ormacheppu, Devin Karlos Padaveedan in Black, Sathyan in Thommanum Makkalum, the title role in Banglavil Outha, Raveendran Pillai in Madhupal's Thalappavu, and Johny in A. K. Lohithadas's Kanmadam.



Lal became a producer and distributor in the Malayalam film industry in the mid-1990s and established a film production and distribution company named Lal Creations. The first film he produced was Hitler, which was directed by Siddique and starred Mammootty. He then produced Thenkasipattanam by the Rafi-Mecartin duo, in which he played a major role with Suresh Gopi. He also produced Rafi-Mecartin's Superman and Chathikkatha Chanthu. Other films he has produced include Siddique's Friends, Lal Jose's Chanthupottu and Renjith's Black.



Lal returned to directing with the 2009 film 2 Harihar Nagar, a sequel to In Harihar Nagar. After its success, he directed another sequel named In Ghost House Inn. It was released on 25 March 2010. It also became a box office success.Then he made two more directural ventures, one with some new commers titled as Tournament(2010) and the other one with Mammootty and himself named as Cobra

Unni Menon is an Indian film playback singer. He has sung over 3000 songs in South Indian languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.In the early part of his career, he spent many years as a low-profile playback singer. The turning point in his career came when he sang the song "Pudhu Vellai Mazhai" from Mani Ratnam's award winning 1992 Tamil film Roja, composed by A. R. Rahman. He has frequently associated with A. R. Rahman, lending his voice to nearly 25 memorable songs from films like Karuththamma (1994) and Minsaara Kanavu (1997). He has recently travelled to major cities in Australia for a music concert organised my malayalies. He was also accompanied by Jyotsna Radhakrishnan and the comedian Ramesh pisharody.


Unni Menon was born on December 2, 1957 at Guruvayoor, a temple town in the Thrissur district of Kerala to V. K. S. Menon, an officer in Tamil Nadu police and a native of Valanchery in Malappuram district and Malathy. He did his schooling in Guruvayoor and B.E.M. High School, Palakkad. Later, he attended the Government Victoria College, Palakkad from where he graduated with a degree in Physics. Unni Menon exhibited great talent and enthusiasm for music in childhood, winning many prizes in competitions throughout his schooling and college life.


Unni Menon is basically a Malayalam film playback singer. Kunjunni, a violinist for music director Ilaiyaraaja introduced him to B. A. Chidambaranath, a music director, and Unni's musical career was launched in 1981–82. His maiden song "Amudhum Thenum" was never released, but with "Pon maane kobam eno" he became a noted singer in 1984. 


He was a track singer and after listening to his tracks for the film, Kadathu, KJ Yesudas asked to the music director, Shyam, to make it straight. And after the huge success of the Kadathu songs ("Olangal Thaalam Thullumbol", "Punnaare Poonthinkale", etc.), Unni became a regular singer for the hit music director, Shyam. Shyam has given him a good number of popular songs like "Maanathe Hoori Pole" (Ee Naadu), "Valakilukkam Oru Valakilukkam" (Munnettam), "Kaayampoo Korthu Tharum" (Aarorumariyaathe) and "Thozhuthu Madangum Sandhyayumetho" (Aksharangal). 

Several songs sung by him durung this time were credited to other singers mainly Yesudas.After Shyam's decline from the film music field, Unni's career in Malayalam film musicdom also went into shades. During that period, he has given some hit private albums such as Raagageethi and Raaga Lahari, with his contemporary playback singer, Ashalatha.


Unni Menon moved to Chennai (then Madras) where he had a job in the Heavy Vehicles Factory at Avadi. Many of the prominent recording studios of South India were located in Chennai. His interest in music led him to visit these studios regularly and formed acquaintances with many prominent artistes like the singer K. J. Yesudas and composer Ilayaraaja. Soon he had graduated from singing tracks for prominent singers and was becoming a singer sought after by many music directors.


In 1980s he had few lone hits in Tamil film 'Oru kaidhiyin dairy', singing for Ilayaraja. His career got a major boost in 1992 when A. R. Rahman offered him the song "Puthu Vellai Mazhai". That song went on to become a huge hit, as were all the other songs from the film. Since then sung many songs which have become big hits.


In 2003, Unni Menon added a new dimension to his career when he acted and composed music for the Malayalam film Sthithi besides singing the songs in the film. Unni menon is the leading Singer in 2009 Malayalam Devotional Album Saranamanthram directed by Kamalan.
