  Rajit Kapur
Rajit Kapur (Hindi: रजित कपूर, Punjabi: ਰਜੀਤ ਕਪੂਰ) is an Indian film and theatre actor as well as director. He is known for his award-winning portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the 1996 film, The Making of the Mahatma, of the protagonist Unni in the Malayalam film Agnisakshi, and of the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi in the eponymous television series directed by Basu Chatterjee and broadcast on Doordarshan. His debut film was Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda (1992) directed by Shyam Benegal.

Seema is an Indian actress.  She has performed in approximately 250 films in Malayalam, nine in Tamil, seven in Telugu, three in Kannada and one in Hindi. Seema is still active in the movie industry.  She began her career in Tamil film at the age of fourteen as a dancer. She debuted as an actress in director Lisa Baby's Nizhale Nee Sakshi but this film was shelved. (It was later completed with Vidhubala as heroine.) Veteran actor Vijayan rechristened her Seema during the filming of Nizhale Nee Sakshi.

At the age of 19, Seema starred as the heroine in her first movie in Malayalam titled Avalude Ravukal (Her Nights), directed by I. V. At the age of 19, Seema starred as the heroine in her first movie in Malayalam titled Avalude Ravukal (Her Nights), directed by I. V. Sasi.  Seema acted in a large number of movies with Jayan, one of the top actors of the time and the pair was one of the most popular in Kerala. Seema brought fashionable western dresses such as miniskrts, bell bottom pants and sleevless T-shirts into the mainstream in Malayalam Cinema, at a time where Saree and Blouse was the de facto way of dressing for herioines in Malayalam movies. She continued acting till 1988 awhen she took a break after the Malayalam movie Mahayaanam. Seema became active again in 1998 in Olympiyan Anthony Adam. Seema won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in 1984 and in 1985, and is known for her versatility. Vishudha Shanthi, a biography on her life was published by Didi Damodaran, a famous writer, in 2011.  She well known for her character Nachiyar in Sun TV serial Thangam. She achieved the Lifetime achievement award at the 59th Idea Filmfare festival at Chennai.

Personal life

Seema was born as only child to Chennai settled Malayali parents, Madhavan Nambiar and Vasanthy, at Purasawalkam, Chennai. Her father was from Thalassery and mother was from Ambalamedu, Thrippunithura. Her father was working with T.V.S Parcel Service, Madras. He divorced her mother and left when she was 7 years old and remarried later. She grew up at Choolaimedu, Kodambakkam with her mother. She has two younger step brothers and a younger step-sister, Lakshmi.  She had her primary education from P.N. Dhawan Adarsh Vidyalaya, Chennai.

She is married to famous Malayalam movie director I.V. Sasi on 28 August 1980. The couple have a daughter Anu Milan and a son Ani sasi. Anu has acted in Sasi's movie Symphony.

Veteran actor Vijayan gave her the name Seema.

 
  Nedumudi Venu
K. Venu Gopal (born 22 May 1948), known popularly by his stage name Nedumudi Venu is a Malayalam film actor from Kerala, India. He has also written screenplays and has directed one film.

Venu was born to P. K. Kesavan Nair-a school master- and P. Kunjikkuttiyamma in Nedumudi, Alappuzha as one of their five children.  He was involved in art and music since his academic period. After graduating from Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha, he worked as a journalist in Kalakaumudi and as a teacher in a tutorial institute.

Venu was living in Thiruvananthapuram when he made friends with the likes of Aravindan, Padmarajan and Bharath Gopi. This ultimately paved way for his film career.

Venu started his career in theatre and went on to act in films. He debuted in the film Thambu (1978) by director G. Aravindan. His acting skills were showcased in the Bharathan film Aaravam. Padmarajan's Oridathoru Phayalwan and Kallan Pavithran set a milestone for him. It marked his start in karanavar (head of the family) roles, which included most of his memorable performances.

Venu also wrote scripts for movies. He wrote the stories for the films Kattathe Kilikkoodu, Theertham, Sruthi, Ambada Njane, Oru Katha Oru Nunnakkatha, Savidham, and Angane Oru Avadhikkalathu. He also tried his hand in direction with Pooram. He has also acted in a few Tamil films with director Shankar, such as Kamal Hasan's Indian and Vikram's Anniyan.

Venu has also acted in some television serials. He won the Best Actor award for his role in 'Saira at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival which concluded in September 2007; Saira was the only film from India to be included in the festival. The committee mentioned that he acted compellingly and convincingly in his portrayal of a man caught between secularism and fundamentalism.
