Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a former badminton player of international repute, and her mother is a travel agent. In her high school she played badminton at the state level.She appears mostly in Hindi as well as Tamil and Kannada language films.Padukone made her acting debut in the 2006 Kannada film Aishwarya.The following year, she made her Hindi film debut in Om Shanti Om, for which she earned the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. It has been reported that Padukone has also signed a film opposite Shahid Kapoor, which will be produced by her Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani producer, Karan Johar.
In addition to acting, Padukone is also the ambassador of prominent brands such as Tissot, Sony Cybershot, Nescafe and Kingfisher Airlines.

Ganja Karuppu, born Karuppu Raja, is an Indian film actor who plays comedy roles in Tamil cinema. He has appeared in Tamil films like Raam (2005), Paruthiveeran (2007), Subramaniyapuram (2008), and Naadodig(2009, Kalavani (2010).


Ganja Karuppu made his film debut in a small supporting role in Bala's Pithamagan in 2003. He appeared as Vazhavandhaan in the 2005 thriller film Raam directed by Ameer Sultan. Subsequently, he was signed up in a number of Tamil films to provide comic relief, including Thaamirabharani, Paruthiveeran, Subramaniapuram, Naadodigal and Kalavani. He co-starred in the 2008 comedy film Arai En 305-il Kadavul by Chimbudevan.


He is married to Sangeetha, a physiotherapist, in 2010.

Pandiyan (5 January 1959 – 10 January 2008) was a Tamil film actor and politician who acted in lead or supportive roles in about 75 Tamil films in the 1980s and 1990s.

Pandiyan was selling bangles in Madurai, India when he was spotted by director Bharathiraja who offered him the lead role in the film Mann Vasanai which became a box-office hit. Following the success, Pandiyan was cast in over 75 films. Pandiyan joined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in 2001.

Pandiyan died of liver failure due to jaundice on 10 January 2008.

Charuhasan (born 1930) is an Indian film actor, acting mostly in South Indian movies. He was born in 1930 to D. Srinivasan. He is the elder brother of Kamal Haasan. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor and also the Karnataka Government's Best Actor Award for the movie Tabarana Kathe, directed by Girish Kasaravalli in 1987.

Charuhasan is the father of Indian actress Suhasini Maniratnam and the brother of Kamal Haasan.  He has also acted in several other Kannada and Tamil movies. His other notable movies include Dalapathi which was directed by his son-in-law Maniratnam. He also acted for a short time in Sun TV's serial Anandham. Charuhasan is an avid amateur radio operator (callsign - VU2SCU). He lives in Chennai.
