  S.A. Chandrasekar
S.A. Chandrasekar is an Indian film director, producer and writer. He is the father of Kollywood actor Vijay.


He is married to Shoba, who is a singer. His son Vijay is one of Tamil Nadu\'s leading actors and his daughter Vidhya died at the age of 2. Sangeetha is his daughter-in-law.


Chandrasekar has directed over 66 movies in Tamil. Some of his hits include Vetri, Naan Sigappu Manithan, and Mutham. He also directed some Telugu movies such as Chattaniki Kallu Levu with Chiranjeevi. Most of his movies are with Vijayakanth. He has appeared in supporting roles in some movies like Naan Sivappu Manithan. Director S. Shankar, one of the notable directors of India, has worked with him as assistant.


With Pandhayam (2008), he directed his 66th film.

Senthil has acted in many popular movies with several of the leading actors and comedians in the south Indian cine industry. He usually appears in films with Goundamani in a slapstick double act. Together they have formed a comic pair in many Tamil films. Recently, Senthil has started acting in Tamil teleserials.

Kanthimathi was born in Manamadurai in the then Ramnad District of British India in 1945. She started acting in dramas and entered films at the age of eleven.

The role which got her noticed was the portrayal of Mayil's mother in 16 Vayathinile. Other important Tamil films in which she acted include Mann Vasanai, Muthu and Karagattakaran. She was awarded the Kalaimamani Award by the Government of Tamil Nadu for her contribution to Tamil cinema.

She acted as mother and grandmother almost to all actors and actresses like M.G.R, Rajinikanth, Kamalhassan, Vijaykanth, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Vijay, Revathi, Radha, Ambika, Radhika, etc. Other actors or actresses cannot utter the non-lex...  See full bio

Vela Ramamoorthy is an Indian writer and actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. He is a PUC Graduate. He joined the Indian Army and served for five years. Then he was posted in Post office. Since he is a writer, many people would come to meet him in his office. "I used to spend half of my salary in the tea shops." He remembers in an interview with Pudhiya Thalamurai Tamil magazine. Vela Ramamoorthy has written acclaimed Tamil novels including Kuttra Parambarai, Kuruthi Aattam, Pattathu Yaanai and is considered one of the leading Tamil story writers of his time.

He was also involved in the dispute regarding the rights of making a film out of Kuttra Parambarai and had supported Bala's project ahead of Bharathiraja's. He has also written the book Vela Ramamoorthy Kathaikal which is a compilation of short stories.

He has an interesting line up of films, which includes, Sketch (2018) and Enai Noki Paayum Thota (2019).Ramamoorthy had also appeared in Selvaraghavan's NGK (2019) but his role was forgettable with no dialogues that he couldn't contribute much to the political action drama.

Vela Ramamoorthy is also acting in movies like Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe (2021)
