Portraying the timid Bhagyalakshmi, Nakshatra won critical acclaim for her portrayal of the character. In 2018, she was also listed by the Chennai Times as the fourth most "desirable woman on television".
Nakshathra got engaged to Raghav in early 2021,and they married on 9 December 2021.

The actress is the daughter of Indian film and television actor Mohan Raman, while her grandfather was the prominent lawyer V. P. Raman. Another uncle, P. S. Raman, was the former Advocate General of Tamil Nadu; while her cousin Gitanjali is married to leading Tamil film maker Selvaraghavan.


Vidyu in an interview said that her biggest role model is none other than "Aachi" Manorama and takes a great deal of inspiration from her.
