Priya Bhavani Shankar (born 31 December 1989) is an Indian actress and television presenter who works in Tamil films. After entering the media industry she earned her Master of Business Administration.

Her first recognition was as a television news presenter at the Tamil news channel Puthiya Thalaimurai. She also worked as a serial actress in Star Vijay Television's Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai. In 2017, she made her film debut with Meyaadha Maan opposite Vaibhav Reddy, for which she was nominated for a SIIMA Award for Best Female Debutant.

The following year, Priya appeared in Kadaikutty Singam alongside Karthi.In 2019, she starred in Monster alongside S. J. Suryah. In 2020 she was seen in Mafia: Chapter 1.She also appeared in the Amazon Prime web series Time Enna Boss.

Then she got shortlisted for the role of Chandramukhi in Anurag Kashyap's film 'Dev D'. She got lots of appreciation for her acting in this film. They both fell in love with each other soon and recently tied a knot in Ooty.

The 'Shaitan' girl never looked back after the success of 'Dev D'. She has delivered splendid acts in many genres of films, and she did a variety of roles in the parallel cinema also. She has received many awards and critical appreciation for her skilled acting in various films like 'Shaitan', 'Dev D', 'That Girl in Yellow Boots' , 'My friend Pinto' , 'Shanghai' etc.

The Indo-French beauty is determined to prove her talent in the tinsel town and hopes to get the opportunity to work in different genres of films. Her future projects are 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' directed by Ayan Mukerji and 'Ek Thi Daayan' directed by Kannan Iyer starring Emraan Hashmi as her opposite.
