Nalini is a South Indian mainstream actress who worked in the 1980s. She acted in Tamil and Malayalam films opposite the stars including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj and Mohan. Nalini, originally from South India, moved to the south to act in films. Her pairing with Mohan in Tamil is a hit. She did act in a few Malayalam movies and is currently doing character roles under her real name.


Nalini married actor Ramarajan in 1987 and they have a twins, daughter Aruna and son Arun. After their divorce in 2000, she is actively starring in a line of Tamil TV serials. Nalini acted as a mother-in-law in soaps like Kolangal and Idhayam which were two very famous serials that were broadcast in Sun TV network. Her Daughter Aruna is married to Ramesh Subramanian on 6 May 2013.
